    Abstract: The isolation and regeneration of catalysts of type I or II ClRh(CO)(PR3)2 I Hrh(CO)(PR3)3 II, where the R's are identical or different hydrocarbon radicals, to give the catalysts in a pure form, is effected by regenerating aqueous rhodium salt solutions, as obtained on treating distillation residues of hydroformylation mixtures with oxygencontaining mineral acids and peroxides, by a method wherein the aqueous rhodium salt solutions are treated with a cation exchanger, the latter is then separated from the solution, the absorbed rhodium ions are desorbed with hydrochloric acid, the hexachlororhodate solutions, containing hydrochloric acid, are reacted, in the presence of a water-soluble organic solvent and a tertiary phosphine PR3, with carbon monoxide, or with compounds which eliminate carbon monoxide, at from 0 to 150.degree.C and from 1 to 5 bars, to form the chloro- complexes I which are either separated off or converted to the hydrido-complexes II using under hydrogenating conditions hydrogen or hydride ions, and the resulting complexes II are separated off.

    Abstract: Procedimiento para la cristalización de sustancias a partir de soluciones o dispersiones que contienen estas sustancias, en un dispositivo que presenta un sistema de circulación interior y exterior, de manera que: i) el sistema de circulación interior se encuentra en un cristalizador que contiene una zona de clasificación y éste presenta una dispersión que presenta cristales de las sustancias y se mueve a través del sistema de circulación interior, ii) una corriente parcial de la dispersión es transportada desde el cristalizador, a través de la zona de clasificación, al sistema de circulación exterior iii) los cristales contenidos en esta dispersión se disuelven en el sistema de circulación exterior mediante un intercambiador de calor, iv) la dispersión o la solución originada mediante la disolución completa de los cristales procedentes de la dispersión se hace recircular de manera subsiguiente en el sistema de circulación interior del cristalizador, v) una solución y/o dispersión que contiene las sustancias se alimenta al cristalizador y/o al sistema de circulación exterior y vi) una dispersión que presenta cristales de las sustancias se extrae del sistema de circulación exterior y/o del cristalizador, vii) caracterizado porque una corriente parcial de la dispersión que presenta los cristales se extrae del sistema de circulación interior y esta corriente parcial se alimenta al sistema de circulación exterior mediante un conducto para la realimentación de la dispersión, de modo que el conducto desemboca en el sistema de circulación exterior antes del intercambiador de calor de tal manera que la capacidad de disolución del intercambiador de calor se sobrecarga por la alimentación de esta corriente parcial por lo que los cristales de la dispersión no se disuelven de forma fundamental.

    Abstract: O.Z. 0050/033363 In a process for the preparation of butanedicarboxylic acid esters, whereina) an aqueous cobalt salt solution is treated, at from 50 to 200.degree.C and under a pressure of from 50 to 500 bar, with excess carbon monoxide and hydrogen in the presence of active charcoal laden with cobalt carbonyl,b) the resulting aqueous solution of cobalt carbonyl hydride is extracted with butadiene, or with a hydrocarbon mixture containing butadiene, and the aqueous phase is separated off,c) the butadiene, or the butadiene/hydrocarbon mixture, containing cobalt carbonyl hydride, cobalt carbonyl and butenyl-cobalt tricarbonyl, is reacted with carbon monoxide and a C1-C4-alkanol in excess in the presence of from 0.5 to 2 moles, per mole of butadiene, of a tertiary nitrogen base having a pKa of from 3 to 11, at from 80 to 150.degree.C and under a pressure of from 300 to 2,000 bar,d) the tertiary nitrogen base contained in the resulting reaction mixture is removed until its content reaches 0.1-0.3 mole per mole of pentenoic acid ester, excess hydrocarbons are also removed, the pentenoic acid ester remaining in the reaction mixture is reacted with carbon monoxide and a C1-C4-alkanol in excess at from 140 to 200.degree.C and under a pressure of from 100 to 400 bar in the presence of the amounts of cobalt carbonyl and tertiary nitrogen base present in the reaction mixture, and excess alkanol and free nitrogen base are then distilled off, ande) the reaction mixture which is left and which con O.Z. 0050/033363 tains a cobalt catalyst, butanedicarboxylic acid ester and by-products is treated with oxidizing agents in the presence of the aqueous acid solution which has been removed in stage b), and the mixture is separated into an organic phase, from which butanedicarboxylic acid ester is isolated by distillation, and an aqueous phase, containing cobalt salts, which is recycled to stage a), the improvement that the aqueous phase separated off in stage b) is heated at from 250 to 350.degree.C under superatmospheric pressure, before being used in stage e).
