The present invention provides a composition comprising a pesticide and a copolymer, which contains in polymerized form a N-vinyllactam (monomer A); an acrylamide (monomer B) selected from N-C- 1 -C 6 - alkyl acrylamide and N,N-di-C 1 -C 6 - alkyl acrylamide; and a C 1 -C 4 -alkyl (meth)acrylate (monomer C). Further on, it provides a process for preparing said composition by contacting the pesticide and the copolymer; a method for controlling phytopathogenic fungi and/or unwanted plant growth and/or unwanted insect or mite infestation and/or for regulating the growth of plants, wherein said composition is caused to act on the respective pests, their habitat or the plants to be protected from the respective pest, to the soil and/or to unwanted plants and/or the crop plants and/or their habitat; and a plant propagation material comprising said composition.

The present invention relates to a use of a copolymer comprising N-vinyllactam, and vinylimidazol or a quaternized vinylimidazol in polymerized form as dispersing agent in an aqueous composition containing a water-insoluble pesticide. Further on, it relates to an aqueous composition which contains a copolymer comprising in polymerized form at least 20 mol% N-vinyllactam, and at least 1 mol% vinylimidazol or a quaternized vinylimidazol, a water-insoluble pesticide, and a dissolved salt. The invention also relates to a method for preparing the said composition by mixing water, the water- insoluble pesticide, the salt and the copolymer. Another subject is a method for controlling phytopathogenic fungi and/or undesired plant growth and/or undesired attack by insects or mites and/or for regulating the growth of plants, where said composition is allowed to act on the particular pests, their habitat or the plants to be protected from the particular pest, the soil and/or on undesired plants and/or the useful plants and/or their habitat.

A composition and a method of preparing the composition are provided herein. The composition comprises an active substance and a polymeric additive comprising at least one unit represented by the formula (I): wherein each R is independently selected from the group of a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, an aryl group, and combinations thereof; and Z comprises at least 10 units represented by the formula (II): wherein each R 1 is independently selected from the group of a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, an aryl group, a carbonyl group, a hydroxyl group, an ether group, and combinations thereof and R 2 is a C 1 -C 10 hydrocarbon group. The polymeric additive further comprising at least one unit represented by the formula (III): wherein A is an alkyleneoxy from 2 to 10 carbon atoms.

Verfahren zur Herstellung von Copolymeren in fester Form, wobei die Copolymeren durch radikalisch initiierte Polymerisation einer Mischung aus 30 bis 80 Gew.-% N- Vinyllactam,10 bis 50 Gew.-% Vinylacetat und 10 bis 50 Gew.-% eines Polyethers, in Gegenwart von mindestens einem Lösungsmittel erhalten werden, mit der Maßgabe, dass die Summe von i), ii) und iii) gleich 100 Gew.-% ist, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Lösungsmittel aus dem Polymerisationsgemisch mit Hilfe eines Extruders entfernt werden.
