Abstract: Procedimiento para eliminar gases ácidos de una corriente de fluido seleccionada entre gases, la cual presenta una presión total de al menos 3,0 bares, en el cual la corriente de fluido se pone en contacto con un absorbente, el cual comprende una solución acuosa que comprende: a) una amina terciaria; b) una amina secundaria estéricamente impedidos la de la fórmula general (I)**Fórmula** en la cual R1 y R2 se seleccionan respectivamente, de modo independiente entre sí, entre alquilo de C1-4 e hidroxialquilo de C1-4; R3, R4, R5 y R6 se seleccionan respectivamente de manera independiente entre sí entre hidrógeno, alquilo de C1-4 e hidroxialquilo de C1-4, con la condición de que al menos un residuo R4 y/o R5 en el átomo de carbono que está unido directamente al átomo de nitrógeno represente alquilo de C1-4 o hidroxialquilo de C1-4, si R3 es hidrógeno; x e y son números enteros de 2 a 4 y z es un número entero de 1 a 4; donde la proporción molar entre b) y a) se encuentra en el intervalo de 0,3 a 0,7 y c) un ácido en una cantidad calculada como equivalente de neutralización con respecto a los átomos de nitrógeno protonables en a) y b), de 1,0 a 9,0%; en cuyo caso, en la corriente de fluido se presenta una presión parcial de sulfuro de hidrógeno de al menos 0,1 bar y una presión parcial de dióxido de carbono de al menos 0,2 bar.
