    Abstract: 1,3-Diaminocyclohexanes of general formula (I) are suitable for removing carbon dioxide from fluid flows wherein R independently represents C1-4-Alkyl, and n represents a whole number between 0 and 3. The amino groups of 1,3-Diaminocyclohexane are arranged preferably in the trans position relative to one another in relation to the cyclohexane ring level. Absorption agents for removing carbon dioxide from fluid flows contain: a) a 1,3-Diaminocyclohexane of general formula (I); and b) optionally at least one tertiary amine and/or a sterically hindered primary or secondary amine. In a method for removing carbon dioxide from fluid flows, the absorption agent is brought into contact with a fluid flow.
