Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent reduction in strength and obtain good adhesion between a cord and rubber by using a specific aromatic polyamide fiber, specifying the total denier number and the number of final twist to form a cord, and embedding said cord into a specific cord to form a carcass ply. CONSTITUTION:A toroidal carcass ply has a folded part in which only one sheet of cord layer is wound back from the inside to the outside of a tire around a bead core. The sheet of cord layer is formed by embedding, into rubber aromatic polyamide fibers which are providing mutually in parallel and nearly perpendicular to the circumferential direction of the tire. In such a structure, the cord layer is formed by using an aromatic polyamide fiber having 40mol% or above of repeated units represented by the formula I in a molecule, with the total denier number D being D>25,000 while the number of twist being two or three. And, adhesive treated cords are embedded, while being arranged in parallel, in rubber having a modulus of 100% of 40-60kg/cm .

Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve corrosion resistance, riding comfort and high speed durability as well as to give improvement on the problem of crushing peculiar to a carbon fiber so arranging the cord direction of the neighboring layer or a carbon fiber layer that both cords will cross each other. CONSTITUTION:A cracass with its cord arranged in the radial direction of a tire and a belt surrounding the carcass are used for reinforcement. The belt has a carbon fiber cord with its initial modulus over 400g/D integrated in parallel in a rubber material with 100% modulus of 42-60kg/cm and has at least two layers of rubberized carbon fiber cord placed at 0-45 deg. angle against the peripheral direction of the tire and its neighboring layer so arranged so to have both cords cross each other. The carbon fiber is made of an organic fiber such as acetate rayon or polyacryl or it is carbonated fiber extracted from petroleum or coal pitch material.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent the biased wear at the shoulder part while preventing peeling off by constituting both of the belt-plays provided on the utmost outer and the utmost inner sides in the radial direction of a belt layer provided between a carcass layer and a tread rubber with an intersecting belt-ply. CONSTITUTION:The captioned tire is provided with a carcass layer 2 composed of carcass-plys 3 in more than one layer where cords intersecting within the range from 70 degrees to 90 degrees against the equatorial plane of a tire are burried, a tread rubber 6 provided on the outer side in its radial direction, and a belt layer 9 provided between these two 2, 6. Belt-plys 7 in the circumferential direction in more than one layer and intersecting belt-plys 8 in more than one layer are laminated in the belt layer 9. In this instance, the belt-ply provided on the utmost outer and the utmost inner sides in the radial direction of the belt layer 9 are constituted from the intersecting belt-plys 8. Also, the belt-plys 7 in circumferential direction are provided on the more inner side in the radial direction than the belt-ply positioning at the stage of layer whose number is 3/4 times of the number of all layers.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent generation of disorder in cord ends by disposing a joint filler along joint part of layers in a belt, thereby supporting the cord ends of reinforcing elements positioned at the joint part. CONSTITUTION:A belt 2 is composed of two sets of fold layers 2a and two sheets of separation layers 2b which layers 2a, 2b being superposed sequentially. Inside each fold layer 2a, two sheets of separation layers 2c are included, while between the fold layers 2a, an additional layer 5 is interposed. The layers 2 are typical example having joint J in the width direction of the belt 2 and include an interposed piece 7 between the terminals of the bent-back pieces 6, 6' on both sides. In this case, a joint filler rubber F and a coating rubber of reinforcing element are arranged at the joint J.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve the durability as well as to prevent generation of creases by providing a bent-back layer on at lest one layer of laminated layer structure belt, storing both side end separating layer in the bent-back layer, and forming the separating layer of a central part piece and both side part pieces divided into three. CONSTITUTION:A lamination structure belt 2 for reinforcing a tread 3 is composed of a bent-back layer 2a having bent-back parts 6, 6' at both shoulders, an outer covering layer 2b formed in two layers and superposed on the bent- back layer 2a on the outside in a state that both side ends are separated, and an inner covering layer 2c stored in the layer 2a in a state that both side ends are separated. A layer adjacent to each of bent-back parts 6, 6' inside the layer 2c, namely at lest one of separated layers stored inside the bent-back layer 2a, preferably the outside bent-back layer 2a is composed of a central part piece 7 and both side part pieces 8, 8' separated into three in a width direction. It is thus possible to prevent generation of creases so as to improve the durability.

In this case, the torsional coefficient of the cord used in all the width part of the belt layers 5d-5f on the outside in the radial direction for the neutral axis 7 related to the bending in the peripheral direction of the belt reinforced body 5 and in the width region B containing at least the belt edge of the belt layers 5a-5c having the belt width over 0.8 times of the max. grounded width is set to 1.2-1.8 of the torsional coefficient of the cord used in the rest belt width region.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve the durability of a heavy duty pneumatic radial tire for such as an aircraft, by specifying the ratio between the cord diameter of a carcass ply and an inter-layer gauge and equalizing the tensile strength of each ply layer when the tire is filled with inner pressure. CONSTITUTION:The ratio d/l between the cord diameter (d) of a carcass ply layer and the inter-layer gauge (L) of each carcass ply is set in the range of 0.65-0.85 and the tensile strength of each carcass layer is substantially equalized for regular rims and a regular inner pressure. Said tire is manufactured by obtaining the peripheral length of a carcass ply cord according to the shape of a product then correcting the differential length and sticking the carcass ply cord onto a former having a similar shape with that of a troidal carcass such that the tensile force of cord is identical when the tire is filled with a regular inner pressure, thereafter sticking it onto a tubular flat former and forming a green case. With such arrangement, the separation is prevented and the durability is improved.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve durability, by specifying a thickness of a base rubber in a direction of normal line of the outermost belt layer in a prescribed area from the center of the maximum width made contact with the ground and specifying property of a base rubber, a cap rubber and a belt covering rubber in the captioned tire for an aircraft or the like. CONSTITUTION:The thickness of a base rubber layer 4 is set to 10-35% of the total thickness of a base rubber layer 4 and a cap rubber layer 5 with respect to lines N2-N4 normal to the belt layer 3 of the outermost layer within the area of 0.35 times-0.525 times of the maximum width W made contact with the ground. A tangent loss at a normal temperature after curing is set at 0.17 or less to the base rubber layer 4, at 0.22 or less to the cap rubber layer 5 and at 0.15 to the rubber covering the belt 3. The 100% modulus of the base rubber layer 4 is set to 60-80% of the cap rubber layer 5 and 40-70% of the belt covering rubber. With this arrangement, durability property at the time of a high speed traveling and overloading is improved.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve durability and controllability by arranging a cord which is formed by adjusting aromatic polyamide fiber having the specified mechanism with the specified twist coefficient, at the specified cord angle so as to constitute a carcass ply, in a tyre described in the caption for an aircraft. CONSTITUTION:A carcass ply cord is constituted by setting the cord twist coefficient NT for aromatic polyamide fiber having mechanism shown by formula I and formula II, in the range of 0.4-0.53. And this cord is arranged at an angle of 5-15 deg. to the radial direction and a inner carcass ply cord 7 and an outer carcass ply cord 6 are so laminated as to cross each other so as to constitute the carcass ply 5. By this constitution, the durability and controllability can be improved.
