    Abstract: A liquid discharge method is designed for a liquid jet head provided with first discharge openings, a first liquid flow path conductively connected with each of the first discharge openings, first energy generating devices for generating energy for the discharge of droplets from the first discharge openings, second discharge openings, a second liquid flow path conductively connected with each of the second discharge openings, and second energy generating devices for generating energy for the discharge of droplets from the second discharge openings. Then, preceding the discharge of the first droplet from the discharge opening at a first discharge speed V1, the second droplet is discharged from the second discharge opening at a second discharge speed v2 smaller than the first discharge speed, and before each of the liquid droplets being impacted on an object, the first liquid droplet and the second liquid droplet are allowed to collide with each other to be combined. In this way, it becomes possible to allow two droplets to be in contact or to collide with each other reliably to be mixed between the liquid jet head and the object within a range that does not render any hinderance practically even if discharge speeds may fluctuate, hence obtaining precise images in higher quality.

    Abstract: A liquid discharging method comprises the step of displacing the free end of the movable member following the creation of air bubble in the air bubble generating area. For this method, the fulcrum of the movable member is positioned on the side different from liquid discharging side with respect to the displacement area for the free end of the movable member to be displaceable, and at the same time, the free end thereof is arranged to face the effective bubbling area positioned on the downstream side of the central portion of the length of the effective bubbling area that forms the bubble generating area in the direction of the movable member from the fulcrum to the free end thereof, and a part of the effective bubbling area positioned to face the free end of the movable member on the downstream side of the effective bubbling area is arranged to face the displacement area directly. Thus, the initiation of the displacement of the free end of the movable member is effectuated quickly and reliably, and the pressure exerted by the air bubble creation is led to the discharge port side and the fulcrum side of the movable member sufficiently at the time of bubbling, and the development of air bubble that follows is directed to the discharge port side more reliably and efficiently.

    Abstract: A method produces a liquid ejecting head having an ejection outlet for ejecting a liquid, a heat generating element for applying thermal energy to said liquid, a liquid flow path comprised of a first path portion in fluid communication with said ejection outlet and a second path portion disposed below said first path portion and provided with said heat generating element in a bottom surface thereof, a partition wall for partitioning said liquid flow path into said first path portion and second path portion, and a movable member disposed above said heat generating element in said portion wall and arranged as displaceable to a side of the first path portion in accordance with a bubble generated in the liquid by said thermal energy in which upon generation of said bubble the first path portion and the second path portion are in fluid communication with each other and said pressure is directed toward said ejection outlet by said movable member displaced to eject said liquid droplet. The method comprises a step of preparing a substrate provided with said heat generating element, a step of forming a grooved partition wall having said movable member and side walls of said second path portion, and a step of joining said grooved partition wall to said substrate to form said second path portion.
