    Abstract: PURPOSE:To utilize an ISDN network effectively and to attain efficient communication by executing the communication according to the communication procedure, and storing a received data when a connecting communication terminal equipment is busy and cannot receive a new incoming call. CONSTITUTION:When a call setting command is received from an ISDN network 8 via a line control section 5, a CPU 4 proceeds the processing from an incoming call wait state in the step S1 to the step S2, and sends an incoming command to a G4 FAX 7 connecting to the CPU 4 via a channel interface section 2. When a restoration request command is received from the G4 FAX 7, it ts regarded that the G4 FAX 7 rejects an incoming signal because of the busy state, a connection command is sent to the ISDN network 8, the communication is proceeded to the opposite G4 FAX 7 according to the communication protocol and the picture data received from a B channel is stored in a buffer area of a RAM 6. When the G4 FAX 7 is in the idle state, the stored picture data is read and sent to the G4 FAX 7.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To transfer a data to a transfer destination commanded by a subaddress by receiving a facsimile signal from an ISDN network, storing the signal as a picture signal, using a subaddress of a signal from the ISDN network so as to read the picture signal in the presence of a transfer command to the G3 equipment, converting the signal into the data of the G3 standards and transferring it. CONSTITUTION:When a call comes from an ISDN network and a subaddress is in existence and the content is an address of a G3 facsimile equipment connecting to a private branch of exchange PBX, the picture data received by a G4 communication section 20 is decoded sequentially, stored in a memory 19 and the G3 facsimile equipment being a designated transfer destination is called and the transmission is started. A picture data is read from the memory 19, the data is subject to MH coding for the G3 equipment by a G3 communication section 21 and the data is sent to the facsimile equipment commanded by the subaddress according to the communication protocol of the G3 facsimile. Thus, when the address of the transfer destination is commanded by the subaddress, the picture data is transferred to the facsimile equipment being the transfer destination by the G3 protocol.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To call an original sender's attention to the courteous write of a character by affecting the judged result of a character recognition rate on a service charge by providing a charge setting means. CONSTITUTION:A character recognition part 12 is provided with a character recognition rate judging function and informs a recognition judged result to a charging part 14. The charging part 14 is comprised in such a way that a charge is decreased if the recognition rate is high and it is increased if the recognition rate is low based on the recognition judged result from the character recognition part 12. When the recognition of all characters in a reception image are completed, the charge is calculated by the recognition rate, and also, the numerical rating of a recognized character is performed by collating with an answer. A result is returned to facsimile 21. In such a way, it is possible to process the character recognition with a fair charging system, and to call a user's attention to the courteous description of the character.

For example, a telephone number designating a telephone company to be in use is registered in one-touch key and the telephone number of the communication opposite party is registered to the other one-touch key. Thus, the user can select the telephone company and the communication party by depressing the one-touch key twice.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To receive a data sent when a connected information processor is in the receptible state by changing the mode into the automatic reception mode automatically when no response is given for a prescribed time even with the manual reception mode set in the presence of a call. CONSTITUTION:A setting means 15 setting the reception mode into the manual incoming mode or the automatic incoming mode, a call detection means 7 detecting a call from a connected line 8 and a means 4 discriminating whether or not a reply exists within a prescribed time from the start of detection of the call set in the manual reception mode at the detection of the call of the call detection means 7 and switching the mode into the automatic reception mode when no reply within a prescribed time is discriminated, are provided to the controller. Thus, even with the manual incoming mode set at the detection of a call (at incoming state), when the controller is not replied within a prescribed time, the mode is switched automatically to the automatic incoming mode and the data communication with an opposite destination is attained. Thus, data communication is surely attained into the communication enable state of the connection information processing unit at the called party.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To attain reply with a transmission control procedure suited respectively to each of a connector and a line even with a call according to the transmission control means different from the transmission control procedure with the connection device by providing a conversion means enabling the communication between different transmission control procedures. CONSTITUTION:A CPU 4 checks whether or not a transmission control procedure of a call is a transmission control procedure with a connected host device 20 in the detection of a call by a call detection section 8, and when the procedure is not the transmission control procedure of the connection host but, e.g., a facsimile procedure, the procedure is converted into the transmission control procedure with the host 20 to execute the transmission control with the host. Thus, the communication by the facsimile transmission control procedure is applied to the line and the communication by the transmission control procedure provided to the relevant host 20 is attained with the connection host 20. Thus, the host 20 converts other transmission control procedure into the transmission control procedure able to be processed by the host 20 automatically than the transmission control procedure in a call processed at present by its own equipment.

The state number of a sequence is stored in the memory 3 during the execution of the sequence while reported to the display part 6 through an I/O interface part 5. Then, state numbers in the memory 3 are read out in order from the up-to-date number and displayed on the display part 6.

Further, the microprocessor 3 informs the state number on the sequence to the state display section 5 via the I/O interface 4 and reports the end to the central processing unit 9 when the sequence is finished.
