Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve durability of a device by providing an element for supporting an organic compound layer between a positive electrode layer and a negative electrode layer on a substrate and covering it with a protective film of tantalum oxide. SOLUTION: A positive electrode layer 2, a positive hole transport layer 4, an electron transport layer 5, a negative electrode layer 3, and a protective layer 6 are laminated in the order on a substrate 1. The protective layer 6 covers the luminous element and protects an upper surface of the luminous element, having this lamination structure from moisture and oxygen in the atmosphere. The substrate 1 is provided for forming a luminous element on its surface, for example, a plate, sheet, or film formed from transparent insulating material of glass, such as soda lime glass or the like or synthesized resin. A lower surface side of the luminous element is protected from moisture and oxygen in the atmosphere by the glass substrate 1. High level of shut off from moisture and oxygen is provided by forming the protective film 6 of a tantalum oxide film. The protective film 6 of amorphous makes it difficult for cracks to enter. The film 6 can have higher level of shut off, since it has a higher membrane packing rate.

SOLUTION: A light emitting element array for yellow 200a, a light emitting element array for magenta 200b, the light emitting element array for cyanogen 200c and the light emitting element array for black 200d use one-chip light emitting element arrays arranged by covering the whole area of a main scanning distance D in a main scanning direction with respect to the rotation movement of photosensitive drums 1a to 1d. The one-chip light emitting element arrays use what are prepared from a single substrate and respectively cut-divided into four. The cost of the light emitting element array part of an image forming device is reduced to improve color reproducibility at a main scanning direction. In addition, as the light emitting characteristics of the respective single-chip light emitting element arrays are nearly equal, characteristic compensation between the respective element arrays is omitted.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain direct injection type electrification excellent in the uniformity of electrification and stable over a long period, even if a simple member such as an electrifying roller is used as a contact-electrifying member by interposing conductive grains in the nip part between an electrifying member and a body to be electrified. SOLUTION: In an electrifying nip part (n) being the nip part between a photoreceptor 1 as the body to be electrified and the electrifying roller 2 as the contact-electrifying member, the contact-electrification of the photoreceptor 1 is attained in a coating state with electrification accelerating grains 3. Thus, in the electrifying nip part (n), the electrifying roller 2 can come into contact with the photoreceptor 1 which having a difference between their speeds. Moreover, the electrifying roller 2 comes into close contact with the photoreceptor 1 with the electrification accelerating grains 3, that is, the grains 3 existing in the electrifying nip part (n) being the nip part between the roller 2 and the photoreceptor 1 rub the surface of the photoreceptor, without a gap, to directly inject en electric charge into the photoreceptor 1. Therefore, high electrifying efficiency which can not be obtained by conventional roller electrification can be obtained and a voltage almost equal to that applied to the electrifying roller can be applied to the photoreceptor 1.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To make toner concentration uniform by completely stirring developer in a developer container and to prevent the fault of an image such as the uneveness of the image. CONSTITUTION:A stirring member 59 is rotatably disposed in the lower part of the developer container housing two-component developer consisting of hard ferromagnetic carrier and non-magnetic toner. The member 59 is provided with a spiral blade 59b in a spiral state and a rib 59c on the outer peripheral surface of a rotary shaft 59a. The spiral blade 59b is provided with notched parts 59d at positions from 0 deg. to 90 deg. and from 180 deg. to 270 deg. with respect to the peripheral direction of the rotary shaft 59a. Furthermore, the area of the notched part 59d is set to occupy the half or more of the area of one pitch of the spiral blade 59b. The carrying ability for the developer in the axial direction of the rotary shaft 59a is restrained and the stirring ability thereof is increased, so that the developer which is apt to be solidified is completely stirred.
