Abstract: PURPOSE:To perform transmission and reception of data surely, by providing a response circuit which outputs the state of a facsimile to be called in voice to a caller side facsimile before the connection of line. CONSTITUTION:An MA type network controller 10 transmits a call signal informing the detection of a call signal from an exchange via an output 10-b, and this signal is inputted to a sound response circuit 12. The circuit 12 and a facsimile transmitter/receiver 14 are tied with signal lines 14-b-14-d representing the presence/absence of transmission original, size of recording paper and presence/absence of recording paper, a mode signal line 14-a, and a signal line 14-e informing ID number. A switch circuit 16 is controlled with a signal line 12-c of the response circuit 12, and switches a connected device side 10-a into a signal lines 12-b and a signal line 14-f outputting voice information. Before the facsimile start, the state of automatic response mode can be responded through various classification.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent missing of an original and split output of two sheets even when paper size of a transmitter side differs from that of a receiver side by applying reduction processing to an original picture an transmitting the resulting picture when the detected original picture size is larger than an output size of a destination terminal equipment. CONSTITUTION:A paper size of a picture read by an original read section 1 is detected and an output size of a destination terminal equipment is detected based on a protocol at line connection. A paper size desired to be transmitted in response to the read paper size is declared by a CDCL and the result is sent from a communication control section 3. The transmitter side receives an RDCLP via the control section 3 from the opposite party to recognize a receptible paper size and to decide the transmission size and the reduction rate based thereon. When the reduction is called for, the reduction rate decided before is commanded to a picture reduction section 2 to generate the reduced picture. Then the transmission paper size is documented by a CDS and it is transmitted to the opposite terminal equipment via the control section 3 and the transmission of a picture CDUI is started succeedingly and the originals up to the final page are transmitted with reduction by the decided reduction rate.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To attain the composite service in combination with voice and picture communication by providing a means sending and receiving a picture file and a voice file stored in a storage means to the facsimile equipment. CONSTITUTION:A communication control section 13 sends a picture file and a voice file. A receiver side equipment receives the picture file and the voice file to be sent and stores them into a reception file storage area of a DAT memory 12 together with the file number of the like. Then a CPU 1 reads the received voice file, sends it via a voice buffer 10 to a voice CODEC 9, in which the file is D/A-converted and converted into a relevant analog signal and outputted from a speaker 8. Simultaneously, the received picture file is read and sent to a picture CODEC 5 via a picture buffer 6 and relevant picture information is printed out by a printer 4. Thus, the composite service in combination with voice and picture communication is attained.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To inform abnormality to an operator when a call is disconnected by an opposite telephone set during the period of speaking by providing a telephone set with a D-channel control means or the like for out-putting an alarm signal when a handset is not hooked on for a prescribed time. CONSTITUTION:At the time of receiving a DISC signal from the opposite telephone set during the speaking, the D-channel control part 7 sends busy tone(BT) signal to a receiver 1-2 through a sound output control part 3 and starts a timer for a prescribed time. When the hand set 1 is not the ON-HOOK state, the time-up of the timer is waited, and the time-up is generated, the prescribed alarm signal is outputted. The control part 3 forms the sound signal of an alarm message in accordance with the alarm signal and sends the sound signal to the receiver 1-2. Simultaneously, a display device 4 forms the display signal of the alarm message in accordance with the alarm signal and displays the message on the screen. When a call is disconnected by the opposite telephone set during the speaking, the abnormality can properly be informed to the operator and the operability can be improved.

Thus, when the reading of all of the original images are completed, a CPU1 performs the character recognition(analysis) of a first page at an OCR analysis part 8. Then, the result of the character recognition is informed to an operator. When it is recognized that the character recognition is performed correctly as the result of character analysis, a repeater station is connected to a line via a prescribed procedure, and transmission processing is executed.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To decrease the time till the print start by providing a memory storing a data for plural pages of reception information in a terminal equipment for a facsimile communication or the like and starting the read for one page after plural pages are stored in the said memory before it is finished. CONSTITUTION:A picture memory management circuit 11 applies the entire control management such as residual quantity storage, write and read of a picture memory 10 and includes an address counter applying address control of the memory. In copying one original only, a CPU 50 drives a picture read section 100 and an intermediate coder 22, converts a code into an intermediate code after the original is read, the address counter in the circuit 11 is operated to store the intermediate code in the picture memory 10. The intermediate code is converted into a picture data by a decoder 45. In such a case, before the storage for one page is finished, the read of memory is started. In case of multi-copy, the number of times of repetition is stored in a RAM 52, the data from a read section 100 is converted similarly and the result is stored in the picture memory 10.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To attain high speed coding processing even with a comparatively low speed CPU by encoding a variable-length code using the CPU which performs a simultaneous processing on data more than twelve bits. CONSTITUTION:A CPU1 having an input port 12, an output port 14, and a memory 13 to store the operation of the CPU1 in advance, and to perform a coding is able to process the data more than twelve bits simultaneously. The high-order four bits in a reference table which are used for the coding of an input picture data to an MH code represent an MH data length, and the low-order eight bits represent the content of the MH data. When the MH data length corresponding to the input picture data is taken out from the reference table, the content of the MH data can be simultaneously and automatically taken out, thereby the speedy coding processing of the variable-length code being performed.
