The sensor patch comprises: a sensor assembly (204) comprising a plurality of electrodes (216), and a first adhesive sensor layer (52) forming the proximal side of the sensor patch and being adapted for attachment of the sensor patch to the skin surface of the user. The first adhesive sensor layer comprises a first centre portion (62) having a first centre thickness and a first outer rim portion (64) surrounding the first centre portion. The first outer rim portion has a first outer rim thickness decreasing along a radial direction from adjacent the first centre portion to a first outer periphery of the first adhesive sensor layer.
Abstract:
An accessory device (8) and a method (1000) performed in an accessory device (8) is disclosed, wherein the accessory device (8) comprises an interface (600) configured to communicate with one or more devices of an ostomy system (1), the interface comprising a display (602), wherein the ostomy system (1) comprises a monitor device (6) and/ or an ostomy appliance (2,4), the ostomy appliance (2, 4) being configured to be placed on a skin surface of a user, wherein the ostomy appliance (2, 4) comprises a base plate (4). The method (1000) comprises obtaining monitor data (1002) from the monitor device (6), wherein the monitor data is indicative of presence of fluid at a proximal side of a first adhesive layer (200) of the base plate (4) towards the skin surface; determining (1004) an issue based on the monitor data, wherein the issue is related to the ostomy appliance (2, 4); identifying (1006), based on the determined issue, a set of candidate actions to the issue from a plurality of possible actions (1006A); selecting (1008) a set of digital content (1010A, 1010B) based on the set of candidate actions (1006A); and displaying (1010) the set of digital content (1010A, 1010B) on the display (602).
Abstract:
Disclosed is an ostomy device with an adhesive wafer for attachment to a skin surface (S) of a user and a collecting bag (8) or collecting output from a stoma. The collecting bag is connected to the adhesive wafer, and the adhesive wafer has a through-going hole (6) for accommodating the stoma (7) of the user. The adhesive wafer includes a backing layer (3), a first switchable adhesive composition (2), a second absorbent adhesive composition (1), and a release liner, and the second adhesive layer has a central portion with a first thickness and an edge portion with a second thickness, the first thickness being larger than the second thickness.
Abstract:
In a method and handheld device for capturing and digitally storing images of a wound, stoma, fistula or stoma wafer site,a representation of a view field of an optical lens of a camera is represented at a monitor. A marker is inserted in the representation of the view field in the monitor before an image is stored, the marker being configured to aid a user's positioning of the digital camera relative to the wound area, stoma, fistula or wafer. The patient holds the handheld wound and stoma imaging device in a position relative to his/her own body or in relation to the wafer, while the monitor is simultaneously viewable by the patient. Upon receipt of auser-input for effecting digital storage of the image in the view field, the image is stored in a memory of the handheld wound and stoma imaging device. The device may include a tablet device of smart phone suitably programmed by means of an applet, and optionally an adapter for facilitating the patient's handling of the device.
