Abstract: The method involves choosing a starting lens having a fitting cross marking a primary viewing direction under wearing conditions and an umbilical progression meridian. The meridian is provided with a power addition greater than or equal to two diopters between far and near vision reference points. A current lens used as target is optimized under wearing conditions. A progression length is defined as the angle of lowered viewing from the fitting cross to a point of the meridian at which a wearer`s optical power reaches 85 percentages of a prescription. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a progressive multifocal ophthalmic lens with a complex surface (2) a visual device comprising a progressive multifocal ophthalmic lens (3) a method for correcting a vision of a presbyopic subject.

Abstract: A method for determining an optimal eyeglass lenses design for a viewer (1) comprising the successive steps of: - showing the viewer (1) a stereoscopic scene including optical effects of a first lens design; - introducing a relative movement between the viewer (1) and the shown stereoscopic scene, said scene being shown with optical effects of the first lens design; - expressing the viewer's opinion; - showing the viewer (1) a stereoscopic scene including optical effects of a modified lens design; - introducing a relative movement between the viewer (1) and the shown stereoscopic scene, said scene being shown with the modified lens optical effects; - expressing again the viewer's opinion; - repeating the three last steps up to viewer's satisfaction. A system (2-7) for customizing vision correction suitable to implement said method. Related computer program for dynamically calculating a stereoscopic image. Related computer program for actuating an electro-active component.

Abstract: The system has an intraocular lens (14) having a peripheral part (24) and a central part (22) of negative power. A positive power lens (16) is placed in a spectacle frame. The lenses are adapted to produce a magnified image of an object in fundus of eye (4) and the lens (14) produces a shadow image of the object of size lying between 20 and 50 micrometer in the fundus for pupil (8) with diameter of 1.5 millimeter. An independent claim is also included for a determination method by optimization of retinal image magnification system.
