Abstract: The access time for the use of an electronic device, for example, a chip is prolonged after every unauthorised access attempt. The access time is determined by the time required for the inception voltages of the two floating gate cells to match. Prior to an access attempt, the inception voltage of one cell is set to a predetermined output value and the inception voltage of the other cell is set to a higher value which increases after every unauthorised access attempt.
