Abstract: PURPOSE:To produce the titled polymer which can give any desired shape, has a high electric conductivity and is useful in, e.g., the field of electronic materials, by dissolving or dispersing an aromatic compound or the like in a specified electrolyte solution and electrochemically anodizing it. CONSTITUTION:At least about 0.1mol of an aromatic compound such as benzene or its derivative, at least about 0.001mol of at least one electrolyte selected from among LiBF4, LiAsF6, LiClO4, etc., and at least about 0.001mol of a compound contain a trivalent iron ion and/or a trivalent manganese ion, such as FeCl3 or MnCl3, are dissolved in about 1l of a solvent such as nitrobenzene. An anode comprising, e.g., platinum and a cathode comprising, e.g., nickel are immersed in the solution and a voltage of 5-80V is applied between them to electrochemically anodize said aromatic compound, thus obtaining an electroconductive polymer (e.g., aromatic compound polymer film).

Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve high frequency characteristics and attainment of capacity by using transition metallic salt solution of a small viscosity as oxidizer solution to be introduced to a surface of a dielectric for formation of solid electrolyte and by forming solid electrolyte by carrying out oxidation polymerization for aromatic compound on a surface of the dielectric. CONSTITUTION:A surface of a metal (Al) foil 1 which becomes an anode is etched and a micro bore is formed to enlarge a surface area thereof. A dielectric thin film 2 of metallic oxide (Al2O3) is formed along a wallside of the bore on the surface. A layer 3 of solid electrolyte which is formed by oxidation polymerization of aromatic compound using low viscosity solution of oxidizer consisting of transition metallic salt of organic acid having viscosity of 100 centipoises or less is formed on a surface of the dielectric thin film 2 to get deep into the bore. An electrode 5 of a metal (Ag paste) which becomes a cathode is attached to the other side of the layer 3 of solid electrolyte. A graphite layer 4 is used between the electrode 5 and the layer 3 of solid electrolyte for keeping good contact, and electrode leads 6 and 7 are attached.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve high frequency characteristics and to reduce leakage current by introducing alcohol solution of oxidizing agent to the surface of deviative of a porous formed body, by bringing it into contact with water solution of pyrrole or pyrrole deviate and by forming a solid electrolyte through oxidation polymerization. CONSTITUTION:Oxidizing agent alcohol solution is introduced to the surface of deviative of a porous formed body; thereafter, it is brought into contact with water solution of pyrrole or pyrrole deviative and oxidation and polymerization are carried out; and then, a solid electrolytic layer which consists of highly conductive polypyrrole or dielectric thereof is formed on a surface of a dielectric inside a fine hole. Since oxidization agent is alcohol solution, it penetrates well inside the fine hole to cover a surface thereof. Since it is brought into contact with water solution of pyrrole or dielectric of pyrrole in the state, pyrrole or dielectric of pyrrole also penetrate well inside the fine hole and come into contact with oxidizing agent. Thereby, a solid electrolytic layer consisting of polymer of uniform and highly conductive polypyrrole or pyrrole deviative is formed on the surface of deviative inside the fine hole in a short time.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve heat resistance and weather resistance by introducing inert gas containing 1vol.% or lower of concentration of oxygen to an air gap in a capacitor element at the time of manufacturing the element or before sealing a sheath after manufacturing. CONSTITUTION:Inert gas containing 1vol.% or lower of concentration of oxygen is introduced into an air gap in a capacitor element before a heat treating step such as sealing of a sheath in the case of manufacturing a solid electrolytic capacitor in which a cathode material is formed of conductive polymer made of heterocyclic compound. Thus, it can prevent reaction of oxygen with conductive polymer such as polypyrrole, etc., at high temperature. Accordingly, even if a sheath is sealed and a heat resistance test is conducted, a decrease in its capacitance is extremely small, and an increase in its equivalent series resistance(ESR) is reduced. Thus, heat resistance and weather resistance can be improved.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve high temperature durability by specifying a ratio of oxygen permeability of a sheathing base material for sheathing a capacitor element in which part of electrodes for holding a dielectric material is polypyrrole to an average thickness. CONSTITUTION:A capacitor element 1 in which at least part of electrodes for holding a dielectric material is polypyrrole, and a sheathing base material 2 for sheathing the element 1 are provided. In this case, the material 2 has 0.2 or less of P/t, where P (unit, 10 cm .cm/cm .sec.cmHg) is oxygen permeability at 105 deg.C of the base material and t (unit, cm) is average thickness from the surface of the sheath to the element 1. Thus, the permeability of the material and the thickness of the material are controlled to suppress influence of oxygen to the polypyrrole for forming at least part of the electrodes. Accordingly, excellent high frequency characteristic and high temperature durability are improved.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a solid electrolytic capacitor having excellent heat resistance and high-frequency characteristics by introducing an oxidizer composed of the transition metal salt of an organic sulfonic acid compound or an organic sulfuric acid compound onto a dielectric and oxidation-polymerizing an aromatic compound on the dielectric. CONSTITUTION:A porous aluminum foil is chemical-conversion treated at 100V in an ammonium borate aqueous solution and an oxide film is formed, and the foil is washed and dried. The foil is dipped in a 25wt.%-methanol solution of dodecyl benzenesulfonic acid-iron (III) salt, and decompression-dried. A glass vessel 1 in which a pyrrole monomer 3 is admitted in a petri dish 2 is sealed with a silicone rubber plug 5 while the porous aluminum foil 4 is hung into the sealed vessel and brought into contact with the vapor of the pyrrole monomer for three hr at a normal temperature and normal pressure. The foil 4 is washed by methanol, and dried. The surface of the porous aluminum foil 4 is covered with dark black and green polypyrrole by the operation. The packing of polypyrrole into the air gap of the porous aluminum foil 4 obtained from the change of weight before and after a reaction after the operation is repeated five times is represented by 95%.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a large capacitance solid electrolytic capacitor having excellent characteristics as far as to a high frequency region and also having excellent reliability by a method wherein the surface of a porous molded body, made of film-formation metal having an oxide film, is wetted with an electrolyte containing a monomer to be used for electrolytic polymerization, and electrolytic polymerization is conducted using a work electrode provided making contact with said porous molded body. CONSTITUTION:The surface of the porous molded body of a film-forming metal 1, having an oxide film, is wetted with an electrolyte 4 containing a monomer for electrolytic polymerization, an electrolytic polymerization operation is conducted using the work electrode which is provided making contact with the porous molded body, and a resin or reticulate conductive high molecular compound is formed on the surface of the porous molded body. Then, a solid electrolyte is formed by conducting electrolytic polymerization on an aromatic compound using the above-mentioned conductive high molecular compound as the anode. Accordingly, the porous molded body is filled into their fine holes with solid electrolyte having sufficiently high conductivity. As a result, equivalent series resistance is made small, resonance frequency is increased to 1MHz or higher and excellent characteristics are shown as far as to a high frequency region, and a large capacitance solid electrolytic capacitor, having a large maximum allowable current and small leakage current, can be obtained.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a solid electrolytic capacitor of large capacitance having excellent characteristics as far as to a high frequency region by a method wherein a work electrode, which is composed of a conductor having a monomer permeability provided in the vicinity of or making contact with a porous molded body of film-forming metal having an oxide film, is used in an electrolyte containing a monomer to be used for electrolytic polymerization. CONSTITUTION:A work electrode 3, composed of a conductor having monomer permeability provided in the vicinity of or making contact with a porous molded body 1 made of film-forming metal having an oxide film 2, is used. This work electrode 3 works as the starting point of electrolytic polymerization with which the conductive compound 7 as a solid electrolyte. The above-mentioned electrolytic polymerization occurs almost simultaneously on the whole part of the opposing surface of the porous molded body 1, reaction is effectively makes progress, and a conductive high molecular compound 7 is formed by sufficiently filling up the fine holes. Consequently, as the porous molded body 1 is sufficiently filled up to its fine holes with the solid electrolyte of high conductivity, equivalent series resistance is reduced, resonance frequency becomes 1MHz or higher, excellent characteristics are shown as far as to a high frequency region, and a large capacitance solid electrolytic capacitor, having a large maximum allowable current and small leakage current can be obtained.
