    Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve high frequency characteristics and a leak current by carrying out oxidation polymerization for aromatic compound on a surface of metallic oxide using transition metallic salt of benzenesulfonic acid having alkyl group or alkenyl group of specific number of carbons as oxidizer. CONSTITUTION:A surface of a metal (Al) foil 1 which becomes an anode is etched and a micro bore is formed to enlarge a surface area thereof. A dielectric thin film 2 of metallic oxide (Al2O3) is formed along a wallside of the bore on the surface. A layer 3 of solid electrolyte which is formed by oxidation polymerization of aromatic compound using transition metallic salt of benzenesulfonic acid having alkyl group or alkenyl group of 8C to 16C as oxidizer is formed on a surface of the dielectric thin film 2 to get deep into the bore. An electrode 5 of a metal (Ag paste) which becomes a cathode is attached to the other side of the layer 3 of solid electrolyte. A graphite layer 4 is used between the electrode 5 and the layer 3 of solid electrolyte for keeping good contact, and electrode leads 6 and 7 are attached.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To easily obtain a full-conjugated type polymer film low in anisotropy and having high strength by stretching the full-conjugated type polymer film in two different directions at specific temp. and setting the area of the film after stretching to specific times that of the film before stretching. CONSTITUTION:In the case of stretching in biaxial or more directions, the tensile strength of the film is drastically enhanced until the area of a film after the finish of stretching becomes 1.1 times that of the film before stretching. When the film is further stretched and the area of the film before stretching becomes 4 times or more that of the film before stretching, a large amount of pinholes are introduced into the film and the film can not be used practically and stretching itself is difficult. From these points of view, the area of the film at the time of the finish of stretching is set to 1.1-4 times that of the film before stretching. Stretching is pref. performed in air at 50-300 deg.C, more pref., 50-200 deg.C. In the case of below 50 deg.C, only monoaxial stretching is possible but the stretching in biaxial or more directions is not pref. because the film is cut. In a temp. range exceeding 300 deg.C, the film itself causes pyrolysis.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To facilitate the formation of the title polymer which can give a coating film excellent in surface uniformity, smoothness, heat resistance and chemical stability and is useful in the fields of printing and painting, by finely pulverizing a filmy electronically conjugated polymer obtained by polymerizing an aromatic compound by anodic oxidation in an electrolyte. CONSTITUTION:Plate, cylindrical or the like electrodes are immersed in an electrolyte obtained by dissolving or dispersing an aromatic compound selected from among pyrrole, thiophene, furan, benzene, anthracene, aniline and derivatives thereof in a suitable solvent and optionally adding a supporting electrolyte to the solution or the dispersion, and the compound is electrochemically polymerized by anodic oxidation by application of a voltage between the electrodes to obtain a filmy electronically conjugated polymer on the anodic plate. This film is peeled off, withdrawn from the electrolyte and ground and finely pulverized to give the title polymer of a thickness of 0.01-100mu, a length of the longest side of 0.1-500mu which is at least three times the thickness.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To produce the titled polymer which can give any desired shape, has a high electric conductivity and is useful in, e.g., the field of electronic materials, by dissolving or dispersing an aromatic compound or the like in a specified electrolyte solution and electrochemically anodizing it. CONSTITUTION:At least about 0.1mol of an aromatic compound such as benzene or its derivative, at least about 0.001mol of at least one electrolyte selected from among LiBF4, LiAsF6, LiClO4, etc., and at least about 0.001mol of a compound containing at least one ion selected from among Ru, Re and Rh are dissolved in about 1l of a solvent such as nitrobenzene. An anode comprising, e.g., platinum and a cathode comprising, e.g., nickel are immersed in this solution and a voltage of 5-80V is applied between them to electrochemically anodize said aromatic compound, thus obtaining an electroconductive polymer.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain excellent high temperature durability and satisfactory frequency characteristic by incorporating a resin layer having 1000cc(STP)/m hr- atm or less of oxygen transmission amount in a sheathing material for sheathing a capacitor element. CONSTITUTION:A capacitor element having a conductive polymer layer formed by oxidation polymerization of aromatic compound on the surface of a dielectric material made of an oxide film of film forming metal 1 and a conductor layer 2 formed thereon, and a sheathing material 4 for sheathing the element are provided. A resin layer 3 having 1000cc(STP)/m hr-atm or less of oxygen transmission amount is contained in the material 4. Thus, oxygen in the air is not transmitted through the material to eliminate oxidation of conductive polymer and reduction in conductivity. Accordingly, excellent high temperature durability and satisfactory frequency characteristic can be obtained.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To easily form a tough conductive film having high conductivity on a substrate by wetting the insulating substrate surface with an electrolyte to carry out electrolytic polymerization and electrolytically polymerizing an aromatic compd. with the formed conductive polymer film of a tree shape, etc., as an anode. CONSTITUTION:A gold wire 2 is brought into contact with a part of the surface of the insulating substrate 1 as a working electrode, the surface, of the substrate 1 is wetted with the electrolyte 4 contg. a monomer to be electrolytically polymerized, and a part of the lower part is dipped in the electrolyte 4. A voltage is impressed between the gold wire 2 and a nickel plate 3 as a counter electrode in the electrolyte 4, and electrolytic polymerization is carried out. In this case, the potential gradient on the substrate 1 surface in the electrolyte film is controlled to >=1V/cm or preferably to about 5-100V/cm. As a result, a tree-shaped or reticular conductive polymer film is formed on the substrate 1 surface. An aromatic compd. is then electrolytically polymerized with the polymer film as an anode. Pyrrole, thiophene, benzene and their derivatives are appropriately used as the aromatic compd. By this method, a tough conductor film having excellent adhesion and high conductivity is formed on the substrate 1, and the insulating substrate surface is made conductive.
