Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve the dropping of water drops, condensed on an outer surface, and prevent the increase of the ventilating resistance of air stream as well as the deterioration of heat transfer efficiency by a method wherein a water discharging surface, communicating the direction of the stage of flat plate fins linearly, is provided between a front rim side flat groove and a rear rim side flat groove on the flat plate fin while upstream side flat tubes and downstream side flat tubes arc arranged io zigzag. CONSTITUTION:In a plurality of flat plate fins 9, upstream side flat tubes 14 and downstream side flat tubes 15 are inserted into and contacted with front rim side and rear rim side flat grooves 10, 11, formed by notching the front rim side and the rear rim side of the flat plate fins 9 in the direction of air stream A, while the flat tubes 14, 15 are arranged in zigzag whereby the development of the temperature boundary layer of the air stream A is restricted and the improvement of heat transfer efficiency between the air stream A and the upstream side flat tubes 14 as well as the downstream side flat tubes 15 is contrived. When the finned heat exchanger is used as an evaporator and water drips L are condensed on the outer surface thereof, the water drips, stagnating on the upper surfaces of the upstream side flat tubes 14 and the downstream side flat tubes 15, can be dropped along a water discharging surface 12, communicated linearly in the direction of the stages, whereby the dropping of the water drips may be improved and the increase of the ventilating resistance of the air stream A as well as the deterioration of the heat transfer efficiency may be restrained.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To allow condensed water to easily drop and to suppress the increase of air resistance of an air flow and lowering of the efficiency of heat transfer by a method wherein drainage surfaces for intercommunicating flat fins in a direction of a stage are formed on a surface on the upper stream side and a surface on the downstream side and a surface on the downstream side of a flat groove between flat fins on the upper stream and the downstream side. CONSTITUTION:A title heat exchanger is provided with flat fins 6 on the upper stream side, flat fins 10 on the downstream side, and flat pipes 14 inserted in flat grooves 7 and 11 of each flat fins in the front and the rear part in a longitudinal direction in a state to be nipped between the flat fins 6 on the upper stream side and the flat fins 10 on the upper stream side continuously arranged in the direction of an air flow. Drainage surface 8 and 12 for intercommunicating the flat fins are formed in the direction of a stage on the surface, on the upper stream side on the flat grooves 7 and 11, of each of the flat fins 6 and 10 and the surface on the downstream side thereof. Thus, when a heat exchanger with a fin is used as a vaporizer and water drops are condensed on an outer surface, the water drops can drop on a lower stage in the direction of a stage along the drainage surfaces 8 and 12. This constitution effects excellent drop of water drops and enables suppression of the increase of draft resistance of an air flow and lowering of the efficiency of heat transfer.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To make the dimensions of width and height of a passage small, to lower the flow resistance and to improve the thermal conductivity by providing a flat tube and a fin having three sides of roughly a triangle in its tube, and joining the fin and an inner wall of a long side of the flat tube by a brazing filler metal. CONSTITUTION:A fin 10 which is formed by combining isosceles triangles consisting of a plane 10a being parallel to a long side 9b and a slant face 10b extended to its opposite side at an acute angle and provided with an interval so that the adjacent planes 10a do not come into contact with each other is inserted into a tube of a hollow-like flat tube 9 consisting of a short side 9a and a long side 9b. In this state, by executing a pressure rolling in the direction of the short side 9a from both faces of the long side 9b of the flat tube 9 by a roll machine, the flat tube 9 is further flattened. Subsequently, by heating the flat tube 9 and the fin 10 in a heating furnace and melting a brazing filler metal, the inner wall of the long side 9b of the flat tube 9 and the fin 10 are joined and the thickness in the short side direction is thinned to the finish dimension, and they are allowed to adhere closely by brazing. Accordingly, the thickness in the short side direction of the head exchanger tube 9 can be made small easily, and a flow resistance of a fluid of the outside of the tube can be lowered.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To enhance pressure resistance and heat transfer performance by joining a plurality of pipelines, which are arranged in parallel, along the longitudinal direction thereof. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of small diameter pipes 41 are arranged in parallel, a solder or brazing filler metal foil 6 is clamped between the pipes 41, and soldering or brazing is conducted by pressing in the direction of an arrow C to bring the pipes 41 and the foils 6 into close contact with each other, whereby a heat transfer pipe 4 comprising a plurality of split pipelines 4a, 4b, 4c and 4d. Each of the pipelines is similar in shape to a small diameter pipe with a circular cross section, whereby pressure resistance performance is enhanced. The splitting into the plurality of pipelines ensures a larger inner surface area of pipe, for a given outer surface area of pipe, whereby excellent heat transfer properties and a smaller draft resistance are enabled. It is possible to enhance the heat transfer performance and reduce the draft resistance by making each of the pipelines polygonal in cross-sectional shape or by providing the inner or outer surface of the pipeline with a plurality of grooves extending in the longitudinal direction.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To keep the condition of refrigerant in respective circuits at the outlet port of an evaporator in the same condition substantially and obtain stabilized evaporating capacity, by a method wherein an orifice is moved orthogonally to the flow of the refrigerant in a hollow body while a magnetic body is provided on the inner wall surface of the hollow body, with which the orifice is brought into contact upon being moved. CONSTITUTION:When the flows of refrigerant B1 and refrigerant B2, which are discharged out of an evaporator 14, join in a refrigerant confluence device 7 and the balance of flow rate between the refrigerant B1 and the refrigerant B2 in respective circuits 14a, 14b of the evaporator 14 is good, the temperatures of the refrigerants B1, B2 at the outlet port of the evaporator 14 are substantially same and keep a given refrigerant overheating area temperature, therefore, a superconductive body 12, constituting the orifice 11, will never generate diamagnetic property whereby no force is exerted between the orifice and a magnetic body 13, the orifice 11 is positioned at the center of the hollow body 8 substantially and the refrigerants B1, B2 are made to flow uniformly. When the flow rate of the refrigerant B1 is larger, the flow passage at the side of the refrigerant B1 is narrowed and the same at the side of the refrigerant B2 is expanded so as to reduce the difference of flow rate between the refrigerant B1 and the refrigerant B2. When the flow rate of the refrigerant B2 is larger, the flow passage at the side of the refrigerant B2 is narrowed so as to reduce the difference of flow rate between the refrigerant B1 and the refrigerant B2.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To distribute refrigerant uniformly regardless of the installing direction of a refrigerant distributor by providing a regulating plate operating gravitationally in a hollow body. CONSTITUTION: A hollow body 6 having a flow-in port 7 and two flow-out port 8 is inserted with a shift 10 into a dimple 11 and a regulating plate 9 operates around the shaft 10 in the direction of the flow-out port 8. The regulating plate 9 becomes thinner toward the flow-in port 7 side and becomes thicker toward the flow-out port 8 side. Refrigerant B flows through a flow-in pipe 12 as two-phase flow of gas phase B1 and liquid phase B2 which are mixed in the hollow body 6 before being fed out. When a refrigerant distributor is set in an inclining direction or the horizontal direction, the liquid phase B2 tries to flow more to the lower flow-out port 8b but since the regulating plate 9 tilts downward due to influence of gravity (h) to limit the lower channel of the hollow body 6 thus preventing the liquid phase B2 from flowing more to the lower flow-out pipe 13b. When the refrigerant distributor is set in the vertical direction, the regulating plate 9 operates vertically to make uniform the passing speed of refrigerant B at the flow-out port 8.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve heat transfer performance not only in a dry condition but also in a wet condition by a method wherein the zigzag pattern of cut and raised surfaces is formed in such a manner that the cut and raised heights of slit pieces continuing in an air flow direction from fin surfaces are changed stepwise in the air flow direction. CONSTITUTION:Slit pieces 5 with cut and raised surfaces 6 in parallel to an air flow direction B are cut and raised in bridge-shape from fin 4 surfaces and installed at both sides of the fins 4. The cut and raised heights of the pieces 5 continuing in an air flow direction B are changed stepwise in five steps and the zigzag pattern of the surfaces 6 is formed continuously in the direction B. Thereby, in a dry condition, a high heat transfer rate between the fins 4 and the air flow B is obtained at a section covered from the upstream side to the downstream side, and also even in such a wet condition as water drops stick to the surface of the fins 4, a high heat transfer rate can be maintained between the fins 4 and the air flow B because of the formation of a zigzag flow passage. A heat exchanger with a fine heat transfer rate can in every point be obtained.

CONSTITUTION:Several inner fins 16 are arranged at an inner wall of a coolant passage 13 of a flat heat exchanging pipe 11 and a flat part 8 is arranged between the adjoining inner fins 16. Oil 17 circulating in a cooling system is accumulated on the flat part 8 and the inner fins 16 sufficiently project from the oil 17, thereby the effects of increasing of an inner surface area and forming of evaporation and condensation cores are sufficiently generated.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve heat transfer performance by providing a flat outer wall member on both sides of a flat flow passage member on which a plurality of slits are provided to form cooling medium passages and providing on the outer wall member a plurality of small projections or bulgings discontinuously which correspond to the slits, have an inclination in the direction of the flow passage and are lower than the plate thickness of the flow passage member. CONSTITUTION:A liquid cooling medium which is apt to stay at the short side section of a rectangular flow passage formed by slits of a flow passage member 12 flows along the inclination of a projection 18 by means of the projection which is provided on an outer wall member 14 and inclined, and the flow is led to the long side section (central section) of the rectangular flow passage. Further, in the gap 19 between the projection 18 and the outer wall member 15 on the other face the liquid cooling medium flows as it is held from the short side section to the long side section which is effective for heat transfer under the influence of the surface tension of the liquid cooling medium. Accordingly the liquid cooling medium is led as a flow to the long side section of the rectangular flow passage in the cooling medium flow passage, and at the same time the cooling medium is always held at the long side section which is effective for heat transfer, improving thereby evaporation heat transfer, and the heat transfer performance is greatly improved.
