    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for attachment of a thermoelectric module, which hardly damages the thermoelectric module and lessens the leakage of cold. SOLUTION: In the device for attachment 2 of the thermoelectric module, an inner box 26, a heat conductive member 20, etc., are arranged within an outer box 25, and a cooling member 17 and a heat radiating member 18 are attached to both ends. The inner box 26 and the heat conductive member 20 are both in a concentric positions to the outer box 25, and space 65 exists between the whole peripheral face of the heat conductive member 20 and the inner face of the inner box 26, thereby the cold from the heat conductive member 20 is not transmitted to the side of a heat-insulating wall 5. Since the thermoelectric module 5 is pressed properly to the heat conductive member 20 and the heat radiating member 18 by the elastic force of O-rings 21 and 22, the transfer efficiency of the heat is high. Thermal deformation is absorbed by the O-rings 21 and 22.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a thermoelectric manifold having a plurality of stages of thermoelectric module in which heat exchanging efficiency is enhanced by making the heat distribution uniform on the heat absorbing surface and the heat radiating surface and heat is transferred well between thermoelectric modules even when the thermoelectric module is bent by suppressing thermal stress thereof. SOLUTION: The thermoelectric unit comprises a plurality of thermoelectric modules 7 each having a heat absorbing surface 7a and a heat radiating surface 7b which are cooled and heated, respectively, upon current supply. The plurality of thermoelectric modules 7 are juxtaposed in a manifold body 19 such that the heat radiating surface 7b of one thermoelectric module 7 faces the heat absorbing surface 7a of an adjacent thermoelectric module 7. In the manifold body 19, a cooling cavity 20c is provided for the heat absorbing surface 7a on the cooling end side, a heating cavity 10d is provided for the heat radiating surface 7b on the heating end side, and a heat transfer cavity 17a is provided between adjacent thermoelectric modules 7.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively rotate an agitating blade in a cavity of a manifold body by providing an agitating member in the cavity, and rotating the member by a motor having a rotor in the body and a stator externally mounted on the body. SOLUTION: In the manifold 1 containing a thermoelectric module 7 having a Peltier effect for performing a cooling action, when energizing to start operating of a cooler, a temperature of a heat transfer surface of a heating side of the module 7 is raised, and a temperature of a heat transfer surface of a cooling side is lowered. A stator 8 formed as a part of a motor is excited, and a rotor 16 contained therein through a heating side manifold 2 is rotated. As a result, a heating side agitating member 5 integral with the rotor 16 is rotated, a heating medium in each cavity is agitated by rotation of the blade 15, and the medium given by the energy by the module 7 is discharged externally from outlets 14, 24.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat exchanging device incorporating a practical thermo- electrical module therein in which a heat transfer area of the heat exchanging device having a thermo-electrical module is increased and mixing between thermal medium at a heating side and thermal medium at a cooling side is prevented. SOLUTION: An opening at an indentation (a flowing-in side chamber) of a manifold piece 2 and an opening at an indentation (a flowing-out side chamber) are closed by a thermo-couple module 5, an O-ring 11 (12) is placed near a circumferential surface of the thermo-electrical module and between the manifold pieces 2 (3) and liquid-tightly sealed. The manifold piece 2 is transparent. Lead wires are provided with coverings of different colors and they can be visually confirmed from outside.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify manufacture of a circular thermoelectric module while facilitating formation of multistage structure by sandwiching a rectangular thermoelectric module bonded with a plurality of Peltier elements arranged squarely between discs. SOLUTION: A circular thermoelectric module 10 comprises a rectangular thermoelectric module 11 sandwiched between discs 12, 13. The thermoelectric module 11 employs a known Peltier element wherein P type semiconductors and N type semiconductors are arranged side by side. The thermoelectric modules 11 are connected in series through upper and lower alternating electrodes and secured vertically by means of a ceramic insulating board. A set of P type and N type thermoelectric semiconductors constitutes a minimum unit of Peltier element. Solder is used frequently for bonding each thermoelectric semiconductor and the electrode. A known adhesive is used for bonding the disc 12, 13 and the thermoelectric module 11.

SOLUTION: A variable capacity compressor 7 and a control means 14 which makes the compressor 7 operate in a low capacity and also makes a refrigerating chamber damper 6 open while a freezing chamber damper 13 is held in a closed state, when the temperature detected by a refrigerating chamber temperature detector 5 is an upper-limit set temperature or above when a temperature detected by a freezing chamber temperature detector 4 is a set temperature or below, are provided. By this constitution, the variable capacity compressor is operated in the low capacity so as to cool only a refrigerating chamber, when it happens that the temperature of the refrigerating chamber alone rises to the upper-limit set temperature or above although the temperature of a freezing chamber is the set temperature or below. In this way the temperature of the refrigerating chamber is always kept to be a prescribed one and the freshness of foodstuff in the refrigerating chamber is prevented from lowering due to a rise in the temperature thereof.

CONSTITUTION:A heat accumulative type refrigerator is constructed such that it has a heat accumulative device 53 having a melting temperature which is approximately the same temperature as that of a freezing chamber, the heat accumulative device 53 is freezed with an operating surplus force of a compressor 57 at a midnight time range and there is provided means for cooling a freezing chamber 35 with the compressor 57 and for cooling a load of the refrigerator chamber with a cold heat source for the heat accumulative device 53 only for a predetermined period of time at a daytime. During the operation at midnight for keeping cold heat accumulation, means is provided for changing- over it to a heat accumulative cooling circuit where no refrigerant is flowed to a drying pipe.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To reduce a temperature in a cold store from a normal temperature in a short period of time and permit the miniaturization of a storage battery by a method wherein all of a plurality of ventilating fans are operated when the temperature in the cold store is higher than a predetermined temperature while at least one set of the fan is stopped when the temperature in the cold store is lower than the predetermined temperature. CONSTITUTION:A cold heat accumulating chamber 27 is constituted of cold heat accumulating agent 28, having a solidifying point lower than a set store inside temperature, and a cooler 29 solidifying the cold heat accumulating agent 28. A cold store 33 constituting a cold reserving chamber main body 23, is provided with a temperature detecting means 55 detecting the inside temperature of the cold store 33, a plurality of ventilating fans 30 operated upon controlling a temperature in the cold store 33 only, and a ventilating fan controlling means 47 controlling the operation of the ventilating fans 30. When the inside temperature of the cold store 33 is higher than a predetermined temperature upon starting the operation of the ventilating fans 30, all of the ventilating fans 30 are operated by the ventilating fan control means 47 while at least one set of the ventilating fan is stopped when the inside temperature is lower than the predetermined temperature upon starting the operation of the ventilating fans 30. Thus, the inside temperature can be reduced in a short period of time and the electric power source of the ventilating fan can be a small-sized one.
