    Abstract: PURPOSE:To make a fast setting of interior temperature and improve a heating efficiency by a method wherein an indoor unit is provided with a lower diffuser opened into a lower spacing of a double floor, an upper diffuser opened into a room, a diffuser changing-over means and a blowing air amount distributing means. CONSTITUTION:An indoor unit 25 has an air blower 28 acting as diffuser changing-over means and capable of performing a normal or reversing rotation and a damper 32 acting as an air blowing amount distributing means. In case of starting a heating operation, the damper 32 is driven and an aeration port 37 and communication holes 38 are provided, hot air is blown from the diffusers 34 when the heating operation is started so as to heat a dwelling region 24 from both upper and lower sides. When the temperature reaches a predetermined temperature, a damper 32 is driven, an air passage 33 is closed when the heating operation is started, all the hot air are blown from the aeration port 37 and the communication holes 38 and then a dwelling region 24 is directly heated by hot air from the entire floor surface. During the cooling operation, the air blower 28 may perform a rotation opposite to that of heating operation. In this way, it is possible to heat the indoor area fast, to have a better heating efficiency and to get a uniform indoor temperature distribution with the head being cold and legs being hot.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To make an ideal distribution of temperature with a cold head and warm feet state within a room by a method wherein an indoor unit is provided with blowing ports opened at a hollow part of a double floor, blowing ports opened into the room, blowing ports changing-over means and the double floor is provided with aeration ports communicating with the room at end portions and communication holes communicating with the room at any optional positions. CONSTITUTION:When a cooling operation is carried out, a fan 18 is rotated normally, air flowed as indicated by a dotted arrow line, passed through a heat exchanger 4 and cooled there is directed upwardly from upper blowing ports 16, strikes against a ceiling, descends by its own weight while expanding downwardly. After the air cools a dwelling area, the air is sucked through an aeration port 23 and a communication hole 24, passes through a hollow part 22 of a double floor 21 and further the air is sucked at a lower blowing port 17. In turn, when a heating operation is carried out, the fan 18 is rotated in a reverse direction, the hot air is blown from the lower blowing port 17 as indicated by a solid line, the air passes through the hollow part 22 and is blown out of an aeration port 23 and the communication hole 24. At this time, the hot air passes while heating the double floor 21 from below it, resulting in that a temperature of the floor 21 is increased and then a room 2 is indirectly heated with a natural convection flow. The hot air passed from the aeration port 23 and the communication hole 24 is sucked into the blowing ports 16.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To make it possible to obtain an ideally comfortable airconditioning performance which can keep the head cool and the feet warm by providing an upper blowoff port and a lower blowoff port, connecting said lower blowoff port with a hollow section in a double floor, and boring an opening which penetrates the double floor and communicates with the hollow section and a room. CONSTITUTION:A upper blowoff port 16 is installed to the upper part of an indoor airconditioner while a lower blowoff port 17 is installed to the lower part. The lower blowoff port 17 is connected with a hollow section 22 in a double floor 21. The double floor 21 is provided with openings 23a, 23b,...23x which communicate with the hollow section 22 and a room 2 which are laid out uniformly over the entire floor. When a fan 18 makes a normal rotation during cooling operation, the air is adapted to flow upward, passing through a heat exchanger 4 so that the cooled air may be discharged upward from the upper blowoff port 16. The fan 18 is designed to make a reverse rotation during heating operation. The hot air is discharged from the lower blowoff port 17, passing through the hollow section 22 in the double 21 so that the hot air may be discharged from the opening sections 23a, 23b,...23x.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To perform an air conditioning in a dwelling area by a method wherein an indoor thermal load is calculated in reference to a set temperature and an air temperature, a vertical temperature distribution is detected by a radiation temperature at a floor within the dwelling area and a temperature near a ceiling and at least one of a blowing angle and a blowing air volume is controlled in response to these outputs. CONSTITUTION:A sucked air temperature set by an air temperature sensing means 19 in a suction grill 10 and a radiation temperature Tr1 under an opened shutter 26 of a radiation shielding changing-over means 25 are detected so as to define it as a floor temperature. Then, the shutter 26 is closed, a radiation temperature Tr2 is detected so as to define it as an air temperature near the ceiling. A thermal load DELTATl is calculated in reference to a sucked air temperature and a set temperature. In case that an absolute temperature value of difference between the sucked air temperature and the set temperature is more than 5 deg.C, angles of louvers 12a and 12b from the ceiling surface are set large and an amount of blown air is set as a string air. In case that DELTATl is lower than a reference thermal load value (DELTATl=5 deg.C), a temperature distribution DELTATa is calculated in reference to the radiation temperatures Tr1 and Tr2 and in turn when DELTATa is larger than the reference temperature distribution, that is, a difference between the floor temperature and the dwelling area temperature is high, an angle of louver is set high and then an amount of blown air is set high.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To let a room temperature approach a preset temperature by reducing an air capacity irrespective of a preset air capacity when a thermal load is large in the initial starting time of operation, and when a blow-off air temperature is low during heating operation and high during cooling operation, and increasing said air capacity when the operating conditions are opposite to the above. CONSTITUTION:An attempt is made to set a required room temperature Tset, an required air capacity Qset, then detect a blow-in air temperature Tin, an d a blow-off air temperature Tout by sensors 13 and 50. A thermal load T1 is calculated based on Tin and the preset temperature Tset. When the room temperature is deviated from the preset temperature in the initial starting time of operation where T1 is larger than a preset reference load T1, an attempt must be made to compare Tout with a preset reference blow-off air temperature TWB during heating time or compare it with a reference blow-off air temperature TCB during cooling time. In the case when Tout TCB, an attempt must be made to reduce the air capacity irrespective of the preset air capacity, increase Tout during heating time and reduce the value during cooling time. In the case opposite to the above, the air capacity must be increased. This construction makes it possible to prevent a feeling of cooled air in the initial time of heating and let the room temperature approach the preset temperature quickly.

Moreover, in case that the refrigerants are collected too much, this can keep the heating operation, performing the recovery of the refrigerants. Moreover, even in case that the degree of excessive cooling ripples, this can raise the accuracy in judgement of too much collection of refrigerants, and perform stable heating operation.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To return oil to a compressor without being affected by the quantity of liquid refrigerant in an accumulator fitted to a suction side of the compressor. SOLUTION: An accumulator is provided with a storage chamber 5 to store the refrigerant, and inlet pipe 6 inserted in an upper part of the storage chamber, an outlet pipe 7 which is inserted from an upper part of the storage chamber 5, and opened at an upper part in the storage chamber 5 passing close to the bottom part in the storage chamber 5, an oil return hole 9 provided on a pipe wall of the outlet pipe 7 located close to the bottom part of the storage chamber 5, and at least one auxiliary oil return hole 10 along the pipe wall on the opening side of the outlet pipe 7 in the vertical direction. The quantity of the oil to be returned to the compressor can be secured not only in the case where the liquid refrigerant is stored in the storage chamber 5 but also in the case where the liquid refrigerant is not stored.
