    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a porous body of uniform fine pores, free from residual substance, by molding a mixture of a crystalline resin and a depolymerizable polymer under shearing conditions to fiberize a part of the crystalline polymer, then removing the depolymerizable polymer by heating at a specific temperature. CONSTITUTION:A mixture of (A) a crystalline polymer such as polytetrafluoroe thylene with a liquid or waxy depolymerizable polymer such as polymethyl methacrylate is molded under shearing conditions to fiberize a part of the crys talline polymer. Then, the molded product is heated over the ceiling temperature of component B to remove it whereby the subject porous body is obtained. The starting mixture is preferably composed of 20-80vol.% of component A and 80-20vol.% of component B.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To prepare a gas separating membrane of good membrane strength and superior oil resistance and chemical resistance by carrying a silicon group high molecular substance on an orientation porous high molecule substrate. CONSTITUTION:A gas separating membrane is prepared by such a method that silicon group high molecular substance such as dimethyl siloxane, trimethyl vinyl silane, trimethyl silyl propyne polymers or the like dissolved in an organic solvent is infiltrated into an orientation porous substrate formed by polytetrafluoroethylene, polypropylene or the like and carried by the substrate by removing the solvent. A gas separating membrane the prepared is of good membrane strength and superior oil resistance and chemical resistance.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain the title composition which can give a molding of a uniform porous structure, by mixing a polytetrafluoroethylene resin dispersion with a dispersion or solution of another polymeric substance at a specified temperature and forming a solid substance from the mixture. CONSTITUTION:An aqueous dispersion of a polytetrafluoroethylene or a dispersion (A) obtained by penetrating a mixture of a halohydrocarbon solvent and, optionally, methyl ethyl ketone or the like into a fine powder of said resin and micronizing the fine powder in the presence of a fluorinated nonionic surfactant while cooling the mixture to the fusing point of said resin or below is mixed with a dispersion or solution (B) of another rubbery or resinous polymeric substance at a temperature which is by at least about 15 deg.C, preferably, at least 10 deg.C below the fusing point of said resin and subjected to reprecipitation, salting out, drying or the like to obtain the title composition as a solid substance comprising 20-80wt% said resin and 80-20wt% said polymeric substance.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a laminate with a good low temperature extension durability by providing an ethylene vinyl alcohol compolymer as a gas barrier. SOLUTION: In order to form this laminate, a joint material layer having a tensile elastic modulus of 7×10 -3×10 dine/cm (-40 deg.C) and a thermoplastic elastomer of a tensile elastic modulus of 3×10 -7×10 dine/cm (-40 deg.C) are laminated in turn on both the surfaces of a gas barrier layer consisting of a tensile elastic modulus 3×10 -7×10 dine/cm (-40 deg.C). Furthermore, a butyl rubber and nitrile rubber can be vulcanization adhered on the thermoplastic elastomer layer of the laminate.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To enhance selective absorption power of both of oxygen or oxygen.carbon dioxide by impregnating and sealing a porous film with both surfaces coated with gas permeating high molecular membrane with oxygen dissolving liquid or oxygen and carbon dioxide dissolving liquid. CONSTITUTION:A composite membrane is immersed in oxygen dissolving liquid or oxygen and carbon dioxide dissolving liquid after forming a gas high transmitting high molecular membrane on one side of a porous membrane and the porous section of the membrane is impregnated with said liquids by the coating method. Successively, another gas high permeating high molecular membrane is formed on the other side of the porous membrane by the coating method, by which liquid is enclosed in the porous membrane. As for the oxygen dissolving liquid, solution in which alcohol is dissolved by the concentration of approximately 1-30wt.% in water, or solution in which ethylenediamine and sulfolane having carbon dioxide absorption power are dissolved by approximately 0.1-20wt.% is used. The absorption of oxygen or both of oxygen and carbon dioxide are carried out sufficiently, and simultaneously the separation rate from nitrogen is increased.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a composition excellent in resistance to gas permeation and processability, suitable for caulking materials etc., by blending polytetrafluoroethylene in the form of fine powder with either a rubber latex or rubber solution. CONSTITUTION:(A) 30-90wt.% of polytetrafluoroethylene fine powder is blended with a rubber latex containing a curing agent and a curing promoter in their microencapsulated state etc. so as to be 70-10wt.% of a rubber component (pref., fluororubber, butyl rubber or EPDM) to produce an aqueous mixture followed by evaporation of the water in said mixture; alternatively, (B) a rubber solution is blended with polytetrafluoroethylene fine powder (where, the quantita tive relationship between them being the same as the case A) to produce a liquid mixture followed by adding a poor solvent for the rubber (e.g., methanol) to said mixture to effect coprecipitation, thus obtaining the objective composi tion.
