Abstract:
PURPOSE:To provide the image display method which fasilitates the grasping of the state in a time-base direction. CONSTITUTION:Every (n) frames of moving image data are written in a memory. While a sampling position is shifted, frame by frame, the image data are sampled in a vertical slit shape and compressed to generate video index data in order. The moving image data are compressed to generate moving image reduced screen data. On the screen 100 of a monitor, a moving image based upon the moving image reduced screen data and a video index (still picture) based upon the video index data are displayed at the same time. The video index is scrolled according to the progress of the moving image. The flow of time and the states of the past and future time base directions can easily by grasped from the video index. For example, the operation in the time-base directions such as the fast-forwarding and rewinding of a VTR are made easy. The outline can be grasped from the video index without gazing at images at respective points of time.
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To visually recognize a retrieving condition to improve flexibility in operation of a playback apparatus by displaying the playback range with a bar graph for indicating the playback position and retrieval target position. CONSTITUTION:CRT 30 is driven with a controller 14 through a display screen producing means 28 to form thereon a display image required for operation of VTR 12. In this case, the producing means 28 displays predetermined image with the coordinate data stored in an icon storing means 31 for animation, a retrieval target position storing means 32, a point A position, a B position storing means 34, 36. Moreover, the producing means 28 switches an image display position of a cursor and lever or the like with the coordinates data stored in a mouse cursor position storing means 26 to operate the mouse 16. In addition, the producing means 28 visually monitors the retrieving condition depending on the operating condition of VTR 12 stored in a current condition storing means 20 to intuitively detect the retrieving condition.
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To easily recognize the general flow of moving image data to efficiently perform precise retrieval and editing. CONSTITUTION:Moving image dates is written in a memory 16 at intervals of n frames. An image processor 17 changes the sampling position in the horizontal direction to sample data in the memory 16 like a vertical slit and successively writes it in a memory 23 after compression to form a reduced picture (video index). When the video index is displayed on a monitor 27 and a cursor is moved by the operation of a mouse 30 to designate a prescribed point or area in this state in the retrieval (reproducing) mode or the editing mode, a computer 8 calculates a time code corresponding to the point or the area and output a command to a moving image data source such as a VTR related to the displayed video index to execute retrieval and editing. The outline of moving images is confirmed in details in accordance with the elapse of time by display of the video index, and it is used to efficiently perform the precise retrieval and editing work.
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To realize the remote controller selecting a controlled device brought into a prescribed operating state even when the remote controller does not select an operation selection key. CONSTITUTION:A remote controller case 4 has a key 5 only lighting a light emitting diode 6 and the remote controller case 4 is moved in a direction depending on a prescribed function, then a color CCD camera 7 provided in controlled devices 11, 12 detects the movement of a spot of the light emitting diode 6, pattern recognition is implemented to select the controlled device to the prescribed function operation.
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly and reliably select a desired image from among a large number of images. SOLUTION: In an electronic program guide for selecting a program, the electronic program guide (data stream) composed of a still image in which the representative screen of a program is reduced is superposed and displayed on the screen of the program while viewing. When a command for moving a cursor upward or downward is inputted while the cursor is positioned on a predetermined category, a still image of the category is scrolled downward or upward. When no command is inputted for a time longer than a preset fixed time , still images of the respective categories are automatically scrolled at the same time. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method for controlling an electrical program guide display for speedily and correctly obtaining program information. SOLUTION: An area X1 in which the date and the day of week are displayed is disposed in the leftmost field of the screen. An area X2 for displaying the time is disposed on the right of it. An area Y for displaying program titles or the like is disposed on the right of the area X2 and an area Z for displaying categories on the right of it. Information on a desired program can be selected by scrolling and selecting only one piece of desired information displayed in each of the areas X1, X2 and Z and moving a cursor 100Y in the area Y. Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply and surely operate an object by user's speech input, by designating an object to be operated, and designating a specified action corresponding to the object by recognized speech. SOLUTION: A speech recognizing means 10 recognizes and processes a speech signal input in a speech input means 11. A data registering means 17 previously registers objects to be called and specified actions corresponding to the objects. A processing means 23 designates an object in the data registering means 17 which is to be called out by the speech recognized by the speech recognizing means 10 and operated. A specified action corresponding to the object is designated by the speech recognized by the speech recognizing means 10. An electronic apparatus 100 is generally equipped with a portable telephone set 101, a navigation device 20, a speech recognizing apparatus 10, etc. Thereby an operation, e.g. the telephoning from an automobile can be simply and surely effected by user's speech input.
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly and surely select a desired program by dividing still pictures for respective categories, displaying them, specifying the prescribed one of the still pictures by a cursor and selecting the specified still picture. SOLUTION: The plural still pictures are divided for the respective categories and arrayed in a belt-shape. When a user operates a selection button switch 131 while an information screen is displayed, the program is received and displayed. In a case that a receiver IRD 2 is not provided with a function for processing the still pictures and mainly processes only characters, when the program chart button switch 144 of a remote commander 5 is operated, an entire program chart is displayed on a monitoring device by the characters. In this case, by operating an up button switch 135 or a right button switch 138, the cursor is moved on the prescribed broadcasting channel of the entire program chart. Then, when the selection button switch 131 is operated, the program chart of the broadcasting channel specified and selected by the cursor is displayed on the monitoring device. The CPU 29 controls a tuner 21 and receives it.
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly and surely select a desired program without interrupting the pictures of a viewed program as much as possible by switching the display state of plural category selection pictures to the state of displaying the still picture of a prescribed category. SOLUTION: A CPU 29 controls an MPEG video decoder 25, generates the OSD data of the data stream of the category and displays them on a monitoring device. Then, when the left (right) button switch of a remote commander is operated, the CPU 29 displays a cursor on the picture of the prescribed category. A user moves the cursor by operating a button switch at the time of selecting the category. When a selection button switch is operated, the data stream of the program of the category specified by the cursor is displayed instead of the data stream of the category. Also, when the cursor is moved onto the still picture of the prescribed program, the display of a title bar is rewritten every time. That is, the category icon and the title of the program where the cursor is positioned are displayed on the title bar.
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To more efficiently select a desired program by controlling the display state of an electronic program guide corresponding to the setting of the use of a display. SOLUTION: When a user operates a remote commander, a CPU 29 controls an MPEG video decoder 25 and a system menu is displayed on a monitoring device. When the user selects an installation menu in the system menu, the CPU 29 makes it be displayed on the monitoring device. When the user selects aspect ratio setting from the displayed menu, the CPU 29 makes an aspect ratio setting screen be displayed on the monitoring device. In this case, the user opedates the remote commander, selects whether the aspect ratio of the monitoring device possessed by himself/herself is the standard one of 4:3 or the wide aspect ratio of 16:9 and performs setting. The setted result is stored in an EEPROM 38. Thereafter, when the program chart switch of the remote commander is operated, the CPU 29 reads the setting of the ROM 38 and controls the display state.
