The dye is not particularly limited but a dye having a structure of the formula is preferably used. The preferred content of the dye is 1-20 wt.%, in particular 5-15 wt.% of the total amount of the heat sensitive composition. In the case of >=1 wt.%, a significant effect of enhancing suitability to printing-out is produced. In the case of

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an original plate for a negative direct lithographic printing plate having good image reproducibility by sequentially providing a heat sensitive layer containing a compound made of an at least polymethine pigment and capable of being decomposed by irradiating with a laser and a thermosetting compound, and an ink repellant layer on a base plate. SOLUTION: A compound capable of being decomposed by irradiating with a laser is made of at least a polymethine pigment near infrared absorption pigment to efficiently absorb a near infrared laser beam and to convert it into a heat, and as the compound, a carbon black is preferably used from views of its photothermal conversion rate, economy and handleability. As a thermosetting compound, a phenol resin or the like is used, the compound decomposed by a laser beam, and curing of the compound is proceeded in a heat sensitive layer. As an ink repellant layer, a hydrophilic layer made of a vinyl alcohol or the like or a silicone rubber layer or the like can be used. A negative waterless lithographic printing plate in which only the repellant layer of the part irradiated with the laser beam is removed is obtained.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To retain a heat sensitive layer of a printing element portion and to obtain good image reproducibility by incorporating a compound capable of being decomposed by an operation of at least irradiating the sensitive layer with a laser beam and a novolac resin in the sensitive layer in an original plate for a direct lithographic printing plate having at least the sensitive layer and an ink repellent layer on a substrate. SOLUTION: An original plate for a direct writing waterless lithographic printing plate which can be directly engraved by a laser beam and printed without using dampening water comprises at least a heat sensitive layer and an ink repellent layer on a substrate. In this case, the sensitive layer contains a compound capable of being decomposed by irradiating the layer with a laser beam, and a novolac resin. As the compound capable of being decomposed by irradiating with the beam, (1) a compound does not absorb the beam but is decomposed by an operation of another compound for absorbing the beam, and (2) the compound itself absorbs the beam and decomposed. As the compound (1), an ammonium nitrate, a potassium nitrate, a sodium nitrate or the like can be used.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a direct drawing type waterless lithographic printing block original plate with a heat-sensitive layer of good resistance to scuffing generating little pin-hole shaped crawling and uneven coating. SOLUTION: In a manufacturing method for a direct drawing waterless lithographic printing block original plate formed of at least a heat-sensitive layer and a silicone rubber layer successively laminated together on a base, the heat-sensitive layer is formed by applying a coating solution containing a photothermal conversion substance, a metal containing organic compound and a compound represented by the formula. In the formula, R1 and R3 represent individually hydrogen, an alkyl, an aryl, an alkoxy, an aryloxy or a group formed of the combination of the above components, and R2 represents an alkylene or an arylene.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a superior image without blurring an image at the time of transfer the image to a subject for transfer by dispersing toner particles consisting essentially of a resin and a colorant in an insulating liq. and incorporating a wax soluble in the insulating liq. into the resultant liq. developer. SOLUTION: Toner particles consisting essentially of a resin and a colorant such as a pigment are dispersed in an insulating liq. such as a petroleum hydrocarbon carrier preferably by 0.1-20 wt.% and a wax soluble in the insulating liq. is incorporated into the resultant liq. developer by 0.001-10 wt.% to obtain the objective liq. developer as a full-color developer. Since the wax is added, electric charges of the liq. developer are stabilized and the developing performance is improved. A tougher image is formed at the time of developing a latent image and defacing and running can be prevented at the time of transfer to a subject for transfer.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a liquid developer provided with a stable characteristic from just after production, without any dispersion in grain diameters and electric characteristics due to the standing period of the liquid developer or between production lots by applying processing with heating to a toner composition after rough pulverization. SOLUTION: The production consists of the processes of melt-kneading and roughly pulverizing a toner raw material including at least binding resin and a colorant and wetly dispersing the toner raw material into a liquid having an insulating property. The toner composition after the wet dispersion is processed by heating at 30 deg.C
