Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide high luminance and high contrast with a small number of processes by forming barrier ribs formed of two layers in upper and lower, and setting the difference of the refractive indexes of the upper and the lower layers within a specified range. SOLUTION: A front surface plate is formed of a surface glass substrate 1, a discharging electrode 3, a dielectric 2 and a protecting film 4. A back surface plate is formed of a back surface glass substrate 6, a writing electrode 7, barrier ribs 5, each phosphor 8, 9, 10 of red, green and blue. The front surface plate and the back surface plate are attached to each other so as to form a plasma display panel. The barrier rib 5 is formed of two layers of a black A layer 11 and a white B layer 12. The difference of the reflectance indexes of the A layer 11 and the B layer 12 is set at 0.1 or less. In order to obtain the remarkable fine barrier rib 5 having a high aspect ratio, the photosensitive paste formed of an organic component including the glass particles and the photosensitive polymer is used. As a glass particles, a glass including 2-20 wt.% of the alkali metal or the oxide of the alkali metal and having a thermo softening point at 600 deg.C or less and a refraction index at 1.5-1.7 is used. The black inorganic pigment is added to the A layer 11.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To transfer image-deterioration free toner-image by having a developing means which forms a toner image from a latent image on an image carrier by the use of liquid developer containing toner particles whose charge hold rate has a specific value or above, and a means which transfers the toner image to a transfer material from the image carrier. SOLUTION: On the surface of the photoreceptor 2 the electrostatic latent image is formed with light emitted from an exposure means. A developing means 8 has a first developing unit 8a - a fourth developing unit 8d. In the first developing unit 8a for example, a developing roller 13a and a main squeeze roller 14a are arranged parallel with each other in a liquid vessel 25a holding the liquid developer containing the toner particles having a charge hold rate of 50% or more. At the development time, the developing units 8a-8d are moved one after another in that order to a latent-image formation means 27 by a drive means, electrostatic latent images are formed successively based on information on print subjected to color separation, and they are transferred onto the recording material 6 held on a transfer drum 3.

Since the wax is added, electric charges of the liq. developer are stabilized and the developing performance is improved. A tougher image is formed at the time of developing a latent image and defacing and running can be prevented at the time of transfer to a subject for transfer.

SOLUTION: An urethane compd. is further incorporated into a liq. developer obtd. by dispersing toner particles consisting of a bonding resin and a colorant in a dispersive medium. The liq. developer is preferably obtd. by dispersing 0.1-20 wt.%, preferably 0.5-5 wt.% toner particles consisting essentially of a pigment or dye and a resin in an insulating nonpolar solvent. A pigment excellent in light and solvent resistances is preferably used. The pref. amt. of the pigment in the toner particles is 5-40 wt.%, especially 10-25 wt.%. The urethane compd. may be prepd. by allowing one or more isocyanate compds. to react with one or more alcohol compds.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a liq. developer not causing image blurring due to the sticking of a toner component on an electrostatic latent image carrier and obtaining a high printing density, by using a colorant pretreated with a dispersive medium when toner particles contg. a bonding resin and a colorant are dispersed in the dispersive medium to produce a liq. developer. SOLUTION: When toner particles contg. at least a bonding resin and a colorant are dispersed in a dispersive medium to produce a liq. developer, a colorant pretreated with the dispersive medium is used. In order to remove a soluble component in a colorant, the colorant is washed with the dispersive medium before the production of a toner. The sticking of a toner component and the deterioration of an image are suppressed. In the case of a colorant contg. a component soluble in both the dispersive medium and a polar solvent, the colorant may be washed with the polar solvent but it is preferably washed with both the polar solvent and the dispersive medium. It is not necessary to reduce the pigment content of the resin and printing density can be increased.
