Abstract: PURPOSE:To enhance mountability of a printing plate onto a plate cylinder, to prevent partial elongation or positional deviations from occurring and thereby to enhance the accuracy of a printing position and dimensional accuracy, by providing a coated film of a silicone rubber obtained by crosslinking a linear diorganopolysiloxane having a specified number average molecular weight in a specified film thickness on the peripheral surface of the plate cylinder. CONSTITUTION:A coated film of a silicone rubber obtained by crosslinking a linear diorganopolysiloxane having a number average molecular weight of 3,000-40,000 is provided in a film thickness of 0.5-50mum on the surface of a plate cylinder. The surface of the film has a 180 deg. peel strength controlled to within the range of 0.1-3g/cm, whereby both of contradictory characteristics of the adhesion between the plate cylinder and a printing plate and the releasability of the printing plate at the time of dismounting the plate can be obtained. If the film thickness is less than 0.5mum, nonuniform coating or the like is liable to occur, and it is impossible to obtain a stable pressure sensitive adhesive surface. If the film thickness exceeds 50mum, the durability in a slipping direction is decreased with an increase in the film thickness, thereby impairing accuracy of printing.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To shorten a block exchanging time and to prevent double supply of blocks by constructing the printer to automatically execute old grasped block head releasing, new block head grasping, old grasped block tail releasing and new block tail grasping steps upon rotating of a plate cylinder. CONSTITUTION:A block head grasping pawl 312 is first opened to release an old grasped block 50' head, and the head 50a' is fed between a block exhausting guide 517 and a block exhaust drive roller 511. Thereafter, a new block 50 nipped between rollers 510 and 520 starts being fed, and the head 50a is held under pressure contact with a plate cylinder 30 by the head grasping pawl 312. Then, the grasped tail of the old block 50' is released, and fed by the roller 511 to finish the exhausting of the old block 50'. Thereafter, the tail of the new block 50 is grasped. Thus, since the block is supplied and exhausted in parallel during approx. one revolution of the cylinder 3, the block exchanging time can be shortened and double supply of blocks can be prevented.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To effectively prevent a printing block from dropping while automatically supplying or exhausting the block by automatically operating or releasing a vice mechanism applied to a block head grasping member upon rotation of a plate cylinder. CONSTITUTION:A roller 341 of a link 338 rides on a block supplying and exhausting cam 157 upon rotating of a plate cylinder 3 to release the lock of a vice mechanism. Thereafter, a roller 320 of a link 322 rides n a block supplying and exhausting cam 517 to open a block head grasping pawl 312 at a time t5. When the roller 320 arrives at a recess 157c of the cam 157, the block head is grasped. Then, a roller 329 of a link 327 rides on a block head grasping pawl lock cam 162 to lock the vice mechanism. Thus, a strong pressing force is continuously applied to the pawl to firmly hold the head, thereby effectively preventing the block from removing during printing. The locking and the releasing of the mechanism can be automatically performed upon rotation of the cylinder 3.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To carry out all kinds of adjustment outside a machine before a pin feed tractor is assembled into the machine body by jointing the standard surfaces of the right and left tractor frames with the standard surfaces of the first and second shift elements. CONSTITUTION:A pin feed tractor 13 can be formed in unit form by jointing the assembly standard surfaces of the right and left tractor frames with the standard surfaces of the shift elements 1303 and 1304 of the linear bearings and positioning the frames in parallel and fixing said standard surfaces and installing the right and left tractor units 1301 and 1302 onto the right and left tractor frames. In other words, the parallel positioning of the right and left tractor units 1301 and 1302 is permitted without using jigs, etc. Further, outside the unit, the right and left front pulleys 1322 and 1323 are fitted onto the right and left bearings 1324 and 1325, and phase combination is performed, having a spline shaft 1310 as standard, and fixation is carried out. Thus, phase combination outside the machine is permitted.
