    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain the resin composition which can give a molding excellent in properties such as strengths, dimensional stability and heat resistance within the scope of a combination of a PPS resin with an amorphous polymer and also in flowability, molding appearance, moldability, and suitable for especially injection molding. CONSTITUTION:The composition is prepared by kneading 100 pts.wt. mixture comprising 90-10wt.% polyphenylene sulfide resin with 10-90wt.% at least one amorphous polymer selected from among a polysulfone, a polyarylate and a polyphenylene oxide and having a glass transition point of 180 deg.C or above with 0.5-15 pts.wt. polyalkylene ether compound.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain the subject composition having excellent fluidity even in relatively low mold temperature by blending a mixture consisting of a polyphenylene sulfide resin and a thermotropic liquid polyester with a polyalkylene ether compound. CONSTITUTION:The objective composition is obtained by blending (A) 100 pts.wt. mixture consisting of (i) 90-10wt.% polyphenylene sulfide resin and (ii) 10-90wt.% thermotropic liquid crystal polyester having structural units of formula I, formula II, formula III and formula IV (R1 is formula V, formula VI, etc.; R2 is formula VII, etc.) [preferably copolymer obtained by blending and copolymerizing so that structural units of (formula I + formula II) may be 40-95mol% based on structural units of (formula I, formula II and formula III) and a structural unit of formula III may be 50-5mol% based on the structural units of (formula I + formula II + formula III) and a molar ratio of the structural unit of formula lathe structural unit of formula II may be (75/25) to (95/5) with (B) 1.0-15 pts.wt. polyalkylene ether compound.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a polyphenylene sulfide(PPS) resin composition having excellent toughness, moldability, low gas emission and high weld strength as well as excellent heat-resistance and mechanical properties. SOLUTION: The objective PPS resin composition contains (A) 100 pts.wt. of a PPS resin and (B) 1.5-35 pts.wt. of an epoxy-containing olefin copolymer produced by the copolymerization of an α-olefin, an α,β-unsaturated carboxylic acid alkyl ester and an epoxy-containing vinyl monomer as essential copolymerization units. The copolymerization ratio of the α-olefin is 52-95 wt.% and that of the α,β-unsaturated carboxylic acid alkyl ester is 5-48 wt.%. The amount of the epoxy-containing vinyl monomer is 0.5-15 wt.% based on 85-99.5 wt.% of the sum of the α-olefin and the α,β-unsaturated carboxylic acid alkyl ester.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyphenylene sulfide(PPS) resin compsn. which realizes more excellent balance in a higher level with respect to shock resistance, low temp. shock resistance, molding property, etc., than conventional PPS resin material and also is excellent and well-balanced in characteristics inherent in PPS resin such as mechanical properties other than shock resistance, hot-water resistance, etc., and further is excellent in industrial productivity and economy. SOLUTION: This compsn. comprises 1-100 pts.wt. ethylene/α-olefin copolymer (B) comprising ethylene and a 3-20C α-olefin and having a ratio (Mw/Mn) of weight average mol.wt. (Mw) and number average mol.wt. (Mn) determined by GPC of not greater than 3.0 and 1-100 pts.wt. olefinic polymer or a copolymer contg a functional group (C) having at least one functional group selected from epoxy group, an acid anhydrate group, carboxyl group and its salt, a carboxylic acid ester to 100 pts.wt.     Abstract: PURPOSE: To obtain the subject composition not losing excellent heat resistance and electric insulating property, etc., and also having excellent tracking resistance by containing a polyphenylene sulfide resin, a specific polymer, magnesium hydroxide and a (non) fibrous filler.     Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a laminated body which possesses high barrier properties to a gas hole and is superior in moldability, by a method wherein a resin composition comprised of a polyarylene sulfide copolymer having specific structure, the melting point and melt viscosity and specific modified polyolefin is made into a gas barrier layer which is combined with a polyolefin resin layer. CONSTITUTION:A film is made of a composition comprised of 2-40wt.% modified polyolefin possessing any of a functional group out of a 98-60wt.% polyarylene sulfide copolymer, a carboxylic acid group, a carboxylate group, carboxylic acid metallic salt, a carboxylic acid anhydride group and an imide group wherein it has structure represented by a formula I and the melting point of not exceeding 200 deg.C and a melt flow rate decided by an ASTM-D1238-86 is within 10-5000g/10 minutes under a condition of 315 deg.C and a load of 5000g. Polyolefin resin layer is provided on the surface of the film. In the formula I, mol ratios of k, m, n are 80-50/50-0/50-0 and k+m+n=100 and m+n>50 are given.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide a resin composition composed of deionized PPS resin, a thermoplastic polyester, a modified polyolefin and a thermoplastic elastomer and having excellent heat-resistance, chemical resistance, mechanical properties, moldability and economic merits. CONSTITUTION:The objective resin composition is produced by compounding (A) 100 pts.wt. of a polyphenylene sulfide resin containing >=70mol% (preferably >=90mol%) of the recurring unit of formula and deionized after polymerization by the treatment with acidic aqueous solution, treatment with hot water, washing with an organic solvent, etc., with (B) 5-80 pts.wt. of a thermoplastic polyester resin (preferably polycyclohexylene dimethylene terephthalate, etc.), (C) 5-50 pts.wt. of a modified polyolefin composed of an alpha-olefin and an alpha,beta-unsaturated carboxylic acid glycidyl ester (preferably ethylene/glycidyl methacrylate copolymer), (D) 5-50 pts.wt. of a thermoplastic elastomer (e.g. polyamide elastomer) and optionally (E) 0-200 pts.wt. of a fibrous and/or granular inorganic filler.
