    Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide an electrostatic driving device of a novel type for which electrostatic attraction and repulsion forces are utilized, the optical element which is suitable for use as a vertical type utilizing this device and the display plate which is suitable for use as a vertical type of a transmission or reflection type arranged with the optical elements. CONSTITUTION:This electrostatic driving device consists of a driving section 1 consisting of a sheet-like material and a stationary part 3 consisting of plural band-shaped electrodes and insulator and is constituted by driving this driving section 1 into a housing casing 2. This optical element is composed of two sheets of sheet-like materials and driving means for driving at least one sheet of these sheet-like materials. The electrostatic driving device is used as the driving means for the optical element. This display plate is constituted by arranging a plurality of such optical elements.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color filter capable of realizing a uniform cell gap and being excellent in productivity, and to provide a color filter and a liquid crystal display having colorfulness equivalent to printed materials and an excellent display free from defects such as ITO breaking. SOLUTION: A color filter, being excellent in productivity with the same number of photolithography process as the one for a usual color filter without using a fixed spacer, is achieved by forming a resin light shielding layer after forming a coloring layer and a transparent conductive film, and by simultaneously forming a black matrix and a spacer top-most layer. The color filter and a liquid crystal display device using the same are achieved, in which, concerning the coloring layer, the area of a triangle formed by connecting each chromaticity coordinate of red, green, and blue in the XYZ color specification system measured by using a C light source is not smaller than 80% on the NTSC standard ratio, and the thickness is not thicker than 4 μm.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a silane coupling agent low in shrinkage when cured, highly reactive to an organic component, high in the mechanical strength of the cured product thereof and good in preservation stability, to obtain a curable resin solution composition containing the silane coupling agent, and to provide a functional cured product from the above resin solution composition. SOLUTION: This silane coupling agent is characterized by consisting of an oxetane-based compound of the general formula (wherein, R0 is H or a univalent organic group; R1 is absent or a bivalent organic group; R3 is absent or a univalent organic group; R4 is absent or a bivalent organic group; (a+n) is 2, 3 or 4; and (a) and/or (b) are (is) 1). The curable resin solution composition is characterized by containing the above silane coupling agent. The functional cured product is obtained by curing the above resin solution composition.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure very good shelf stability and to enable preservation as a one-pack compsn. by specifying the change rate of viscosity in the case of preservation in a hermetically sealed vessel under specified conditions for specified days.     Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject composition excellent in storage stability, capable of forming a cured coating film having a combination of good flatness, hardness, transparency, heat resistance and adhesiveness to substrates and useful for e.g. a protective coat of liquid crystal display materials by including a specified alkoxysilane (condensate) and an epoxy resin. SOLUTION: This composition contains (A) an alkoxysilane (condensate) having >=1 amic acid linkage in the molecule such as a compound obtained by reacting an aminoorganoalkoxysilane such as an multivalent aminoorganoalkoxysilane with an acid anhydride such as trimellitic acid anhydride and (B) an epoxy resin such as a multifunctional epoxy resin. The mixing ratio of A/B is preferably 0.7-3.0 based on the active group equivalent of the component A per epoxy equivalent of the component B. It is preferable to make color filters by using coating films formed from the composition.
