Abstract: [Problem] To Provide a negative electrode material for lithium ion secondary batteries, a composite negative electrode material for lithium ion secondary batteries, a resin composition for negative electrodes of lithium ion secondary batteries and a negative electrode for lithium ion secondary batteries, each of which is capable of ensuring high charge/discharge capacity, excellent initial charge/discharge characteristics and excellent capacity retention rate. [Solution] A high charge/discharge capacity, excellent capacity retention rate and high initial efficiency can be achieved by using a negative electrode material, wherein the surfaces of core particles that are formed of silicon and have an average particle diameter of from 5 nm to 100 nm (inclusive) are covered with coating layers that do not substantially contain silicon oxide, or by using a composite negative electrode material for lithium ion secondary batteries, which contains the negative electrode material and a matrix material, while using, as a binder resin, a polyimide resin or a precursor thereof.

Abstract: The present invention relates to preparation of a highly dispersible graphene powder. Abstract: In order to prepare a highly conductive and highly dispersible graphene powder and to obtain an electrode for a lithium ion battery with excellent performance utilizing the highly conductive and highly dispersible graphene, a graphene powder and a preparation method thereof is provided. The graphene powder comprises a compound having a catechol group adsorbing on the surface of graphene in a weight ratio of 5-50% relative to the grapheme and the element ratio of oxygen to carbon in the graphene powder measured by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy is 0.06 or more and 0.20 or less. The method for producing a graphene powder comprise the step of reducing a graphite oxide with a reducing agent having no catechol group in the presence of a compound having a catechol group.

Abstract: Provided are a graphene powder, a production method thereof, and an electrochemical device comprising the same. The graphene powder has an elemental ratio of oxygen atoms to carbon atoms of not less than 0.07 and not more than 0.13 and an elemental ratio of nitrogen atoms to carbon atoms of not more than 0.01. In the production method, the graphene powder is produced by using a dithionous acid salt as a reducing agent. Since the graphene has a low content of nitrogen atoms and a proper amount of oxygen atoms and a proper defect, the graphene is provided with good performance of both dispersibility and conductive property, and is usable as a good conductive additive, such as the one for a lithium ion battery electrode. The production method has the advantages of low cost, high efficiency and low toxicity.

Abstract: There is provided a method for producing polyanionic positive electrode active material composite particles which may be used as a positive electrode material of a lithium ion secondary battery. The method comprises mixing a polyanionic positive electrode active material precursor and graphite oxide in a solid phase to form precursor composite granulated bodies, wherein water and/or alcohol is added to a combined total of 2.5% to 20%; and heating the precursor composite granulated bodies at 500 C or higher in an inert or reducing atmosphere. In the X-ray diffraction intensity of (i) the precursor composite granulated bodies and (ii) the polyanionic positive electrode active material composite particles, the maximum intensity of the peak based on the positive electrode active material is less than 50% of, and is 50% or more of, respectively, the maximum intensity of the peak based on materials other than the positive electrode active material.
