    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a false stereophonic device capable of automatically turning on/off a function by determining whether an input signal is a stereophonic signal or a monaural signal. SOLUTION: A decision part 10 determines whether an input signal is a stereophonic signal or a monaural signal. The decision can be performed by determining the level of a differential signal obtained by subtracting a right(R) channel signal from a left(L) channel signal. When the input signal is the stereophonic signal, a switching part 12 is switched to the input terminal side to output the input signal directly as a through signal. When the input signal is the monaural signal, the switching part 12 is switched to the side of a filter part 11 and a false stereophonic signal converted from the input signal is outputted. The filter part 11 is constituted of a comb filter of two systems mutually shifting their filtering bands.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a system for reproducing sound of karaoke performance, or the like, in which sound can be reproduced while setting the direction of sound field appropriately with respect to the arrangement of speakers. SOLUTION: Speakers SP1-SP4 and a microphone 16 are arranged in a room 10. Accompaniment sound, surround sound of an accompanist, microphone sound and echo/reverb sound of microphone sound are fed through attenuator groups 20, 24, 28 and 32 to each speaker and delivered therefrom. A sound field direction setting section 40 sets the direction of a microphone from the central position 42a of a space 42 surrounded by speakers as the front direction of the sound field. A control section 44 controls attenuation of the attenuator groups 20, 24, 28 and 32 such that a sound field is formed in a direction set at the sound field direction setting section 40.

SOLUTION: In a communication mode, a coin box outputs communication pulses in the number corresponding to the number of residual credits in response to pulses supplied from a service providing device (steps S23-S26), and a service providing device counts the communication pulses for detecting the number of the residual credits. Also, in a charging mode, the coin box detects pulses outputted from the service providing device, and down-counts the number of the residual credits one by one each time one pulse is detected (steps S27-S29). Thus, the number of the residual credits in the coin box is decreased only by the number of pulses equivalent to service values so that charging can be attained.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To keep operability high even in the case of providing a lot of button switches on a simplified and miniaturized remote control transmitter. SOLUTION: Button switch groups 4 and 5 are respectively provided on both a front face 2 and a rear face 3 of a remote control transmitter 1. Thus, since the button switch groups are provided on both the sides of a main body, the number of button switches can be increased while keeping the main body compact. Further, a gravity sensor 6 is provided inside, the vertical position relation of the remote control transmitter 1 is detected, only the button switches on the upper face are validized, and the ON/OFF of button switches on the lower face is ignored. Thus, even when the transmitter is operated while holding it with a hand as conventional, since the ON/OFF of button switches on the lower face covered with the hand is ignored, the transmitter can be held with the hand without considering this ON/OFF and even when the transmitter is put on a table or the like and abutted to any projecting object and the button switches on the lower face are turned on, no erroneous code is transmitted.

SOLUTION: Voice data MD1 corresponding to the first to fourth measures of a main melody is stored in a RAM as a first round phrase, and is read from the RAM after the delay time of eight measures indicated by delay data SDL has elapsed. The read voice data MD1 after being multiplied by volume data, is added to voice data MD3 which corresponds to the ninth to twelfth measures of the main melody. This added data is converted into an analog signal for output as a round voice signal, that is issued from a speaker. Therefore the singer, in singing the ninth to twelfth measures, can sing while listening to the previously sung first to fifth measures, and is thus permitted to roll.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide a BGV which is suitable to many different musics employing few video data in a 'KARAOKE' singing equipment. CONSTITUTION:A primary video reproducing equipment 2 and a secondary video reproducing equipment 3 are connected to a 'KARAOKE' system. The video data reproduced by these equipment are synthesized by a video mixer 34 and are displayed on a monitor 4. The equipment 2 stores a general video which is displayed throughout the playing time of a 'KARAOKE' music as primary video data. The equipment 3 stores special video data which are to be intermittently inserted to the primary video data as secondary video data. During a 'KARAOKE' music playing, the primary video data are reproduced and the secondary video data are synthesized with a prescribed timing (in accordance with a sequence). Thus, a BGV, which is appropriate to the music being played, is produced employing a small amount of video data and provides various kinds of scenes.

    SOLUTION: A luminance adaptation value is calculated by operating the mean luminance of a picture visualized by using a display device 13 with a time constant made to correspond to dark adaptation of an appreciator. When the luminance adaptation value decreases to a given threshold or below, the quantity of light of a light source lamp 15 is decreased to make black floating inconspicuous to the appreciator. Further, an illuminance sensor 2 provided nearby a screen 3 detects illuminance and when the illuminance is equal to or larger than a given value, the black floating is inconspicuous, so light quantity decreasing control is not performed so that the picture does not become hard to see.
