본 발명은 종축을 갖는 재료의 스트립의 복수 개의 회선을 형성하는 적어도 하나의 재료의 스트립을 포함하되, 이때 상기 스트립의 회선이 각각 상기 스트립의 종축을 따라 트위스트를 포함하고, 상기 트위스트가 180도의 홀수 배수로 존재하는 엔드리스 성형품(endless shaped article)에 관한 것이다. 또한, 본 발명은 이러한 제품을 제조하는 방법, 및 이의 슬링, 루프, 벨트 또는 체인 링크로서의 용도에 관한 것이다.

One aspect of this invention concerns a multi-strand steel wire rope (28, 32, 36, 46, 50) comprising multiple strands (3, 10, 38) laid up helically on a core (30, 34,), characterised in that at least some of the strands are deep strands (10, 38), i.e. strands with a heightwidth ratio greater than unity. Abstract:
PURPOSE: A steel cord having a flat structure close to a two-dimensional configuration by compressing the porosity of a three-dimensional configuration present in a steel cord is provided. Therefore, it has a high breaking load and sufficient rubber penetration, ensures the steering stability and improves workability. CONSTITUTION: The steel cord has a breaking elongation of 5% or more and is a flat cord(5) with a flatness ratio of 1.10 to 2.0, which is obtained by cold rolling of an open single-strand steel cord having an 1xn(n:number of element wires) structure. The number of element wires(5A) is 3 to 6 strands, the diameter of each element wires is 0.15 to 0.4mm, the twist pitch of the steel cord is 10 to 40 times the diameter of the element wires, and the spiral twist direction of the steel cord is an S twist or a Z twist.

An elevator includes an elevator car, a counterweight and suspension roping, which connects the elevator car and counterweight to each other, and which suspension roping includes one or more ropes, which include a load-bearing composite part, which includes reinforcing fibers in a polymer matrix. The elevator car and the counterweight are arranged to be moved by exerting a vertical force on at least the elevator car or on the counterweight. The elevator includes a device separate from the suspension roping for exerting the force on at least the elevator car or on the counterweight.

A method of manufacturing an elevator includes installing a movable supporting platform and an elevator car in the elevator hoistway; taking the elevator car into use to serve passengers and/or to transport goods; removing the elevator car from use; changing the service range of the elevator car to reach higher up in the elevator hoistway by lifting the supporting platform higher up in the elevator hoistway; and taking the elevator car back into use. The elevator is reeved to include construction-time hoisting roping, which includes one or more ropes, the longitudinal power transmission capacity of which is based at least essentially on non-metallic fibers in the longitudinal direction of the rope. In the method, guide rails to be fixed with guide rail brackets can additionally be installed by the aid of an installation device. An elevator arrangement can be used to perform the method.
