Abstract: A charge device for a drone includes a base and a covering mechanism. The base has a charge portion. The covering mechanism includes two covers, two first position-limiting components and two second position-limiting components. The two covers are movably disposed on the base. The covers are adapted to move toward each other to become a closed state and cover the charge portion, and the covers are adapted to move away from each other to become an expanded state and expose the charge portion. The first position-limiting components are connected to the covers respectively. Each of the second position-limiting components is connected between the covers. When the covers are in the closed state, the first position-limiting components and the second position-limiting components are located above the charge portion. When the covers are in the expanded state, the first position-limiting components and the second position-limiting components are away from the charge portion.

Abstract: A detachable aerial photographic apparatus includes a carrier, an aircraft, a take-off delaying device and a trigger. The aircraft includes a main body disposed on the carrier, at least one propeller is pivotally furnished in the main body and a camera disposed on the main body. The take-off delaying device includes a movable member disposed on the carrier and at least one stopper connected to the movable member. The stopper is detachably connected to the aircraft for prevent the aircraft from taking off. The movable member is for detaching the stopper from the aircraft for releasing the aircraft. The trigger is electrically connected to the aircraft and the take-off delaying device. The trigger is for triggering the propeller and the movable member. A first time point when the propeller is triggered by the trigger is earlier than a second time point when the stopper is detached from the aircraft.

Abstract: Unmanned aerial vehicle docking systems and methods are presented herein. A UAV can hover in a hovering position above a docking pad of the UAV docking system based on positioning measurements. An on-board camera can image a machine-readable code present on the docking pad. The hovering position of the UAV above the docking pad can be adjusted based on imaging of the machine-readable code and ranging measurements to the docking pad. A tether can be extended from the UAV towards the docking pad. The hovering position of the UAV and extension of the tether can be adjusted such that a mating device present on a distal end of the tether engages with a coupling device of the UAV docking pad. The tether can be reeled in to the UAV to assist in lowering the UAV from the hovering position to a landing position on the docking pad.

Abstract: A system and method for enhancing distribution logistics and surveillance ranges with unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) and at least one dock in a dock network. The UAV remains in communication with the dock for enhancing distribution logistics of at least one package and increasing the range of surveillance for the unmanned aerial vehicle. From the dock, the UAV delivers the package to a destination point, obtains the package from a pick up point, recharges the unmanned aerial vehicle throughout the network of docks, and increases the range of distribution and surveillance. A logistics software controls the delivery and surveillance. A wireless communication device enables communication between the UAV and the dock. Light indicators indicate status of the package and the operational status of the UAV. A camera captures an image of the package in the dock. A motion detector detects the UAV for regulating access for loading/unloading and docking.
