    Abstract: PURPOSE: To make two levers pivotable without a play, related to a device for pivotable linkage between the two levers. CONSTITUTION: One end of a lever 2b has a fork that receives a lever 5b between its crotched part 6a, 6b. Each of the crotched part 6a, 6b has a recess 9 made on its inner face. The recess 9 is parallel to the inner face and extends in the longitudinal direction of the crotched part, thus forming a passage for receiving a pivot 10. The end of the lever 5b has a lateral recess 11 intended to engage the pivot 10. One end of a draw spring 13 has one end secured to the lever 2b, while the other end is fixed in a groove 12 that is concentric with the axis of the pivot 10 and that is made at the end of the lever 5b opposite to the opening of the recess 11.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: To attain improvement in efficiency with a simple method by providing element to be operated by a feed mechanism for relaxing a thread from a shuttle for each cycle of the feed mechanism. CONSTITUTION: A feed dog 17 is provided with the element for relaxing the thread from the shuttle for each cycle of the feed mechanism, this element is composed of a U-shaped elastic steel wire 21, and the arm is bent at the rear end part thereof shown by 22 and housed in one part of the dog 17. Each arm of this U-shaped member passes through a hole in a supporting part 23, which can be slid at the vertical portion of the dog 17, and when moving the dog 17 upward for holding cloth to be sewn, each supporting part 23 deforms the steel wire 21 downward in contact with a needle plate 18 so that a tension can be exerted on a thread 8. When moving the dog 17 downward by the feed mechanism, the steel wire 21 is returned to the initial position and no tension is exerted on the lower thread 8 any more. Therefore, the thread 8 is relaxed and the pulling of a lower thread into an object to be sewn is promoted by a pulling effect exerted by an upper thread 14 regardless of a sewing speed. The length of the thread to b relaxed for each cycle is a function of horizontal distance, where the dog 17 crosses, while the steel wire 21 is operated upon the thread 8. Therefore, increased relaxing is realized as a function of length of the selected stitch.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: To make the production and use of a device easy and simple by respectively connecting two terminals of control cirucit for a sewing machine to a closing member for paired reference points and a contact. CONSTITUTION: With the forward movement of cloth T, an elastically energized pinion 16 of cloth is rotated, a pinion 17 to be engaged to a barrel 19 is displaced in the manner of angle in the direction of a contact 34 related with a drum 29 as a pin 23, and when its inner terminal is fixed on a fixed rod 15, a spiral spring 20 is compressed. When the pin 23 is brought into contact with the contact member 34, a pulse is generated by a pulse generator 46 and transmitted to an AND logic gate 45. When this pulse is generated before the end of sewing, a position detector 43 for a needlebar communicates with a counter 42 at the moment when the sewing wok under execution is finished. The sewing machine moves the cloth T back and forms the straight stitches parallel to the zigzag stitches of a phase 1. As long as the pinion 16 is not detached from the cloth, the pinion is inverted, the pin 23 moves toward a contact 28 and the spring 20 is unfastened. This second phase meets the pin 23 and the contact 28 to end the sewing.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: To axially feed out a thread by supporting a bobbin-carrying rod practically parallel to a handle with one arm while this arm is in extension position data and having a thread guide, which is practically disposed on the axial line of the bobbin-carrying rod while two arms are located at expansion positions thereof, with the other arm. CONSTITUTION: The handle has recesses 6 and 7 at both the terminals of an intermediate portion 4, and two arms 8 and 9 attached to the axial line parallel with the intermediate portion 4 so as to be freely turned can be housed in these recesses. These recesses 6 and 7 have guide grooves 10 and inside this groove, a tongue 11 fixed on a base 12 for supporting a bobbin-carrying rod 13 can be slid. The bobbin-carrying rod 13 forms an accessory to be used only when sewing with two threads is desired. When sewing with two threads is not desired, the base 12 and the rod 13 are removed from the recess 6 so that the recess 6 can receive the arm 8 when moving to a housing position. The arm 8 is provided with a bobbin-carrying rod 14 capable of positioning a thread bobbin 15. A thread 17 is passed through a thread guide 18 at one part of the arm 9.
