Abstract: PURPOSE: To provide a light and simple sewing machine structure by disposing a motor near a needlebar, attaching a support to the main body of motor and forming a unit for which the needlebar, bearing, support thereto, connecting member and motor are removably integrated. CONSTITUTION: A needlebar 1 is slidingly mounted on two bearings 12 and 13, each bearing has spherical external shape, the first bearing is engaged with the hole of complementary shape provided on a fixed support 14, and the second bearing is engaged with the similar hole provided on a lever 15. One end of the lever 15 is pivoted so as to be turned with a pin 16 mounted on the second support 14* as a center, and the upper surface of the other end of the lever 15 becomes a sector 17 equipped with teeth having a curvature radius having a center on the pin 16. Both the supports 14 and 14* are fixed on the main body of a stepping motor for controlling the turn of the lever 15 by a pinion 19 engaged with a toothed sector 17, and these several members are grouped into independent detachable unit with integrated motor 18.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To make considerably heavy sewing easily absorbed by moving a presser foot on a vertical route while fixing it by a lever when inclining the lever from one angle terminal position to the other position. CONSTITUTION: A lever 70 is freely inclined in a direction F1 or F2 by turning on tracks 72a and 72b corresponding to sectors 70c and 70d with screws thereof. Therefore, the vertical component of pressure operated by a spring 77 on a carrier 74 is moved to the left contact areas of sectors 70c and 70d on this track so as to incline the lever 70 in the direction F2 from the lower position to the upper position. As soon as the vertical component of pressure operated by the spring 77 is moved to the right contact area of this lever, the lever 70 takes the lower position by moving in the opposite direction of the carriage 74. At the lower or working position of a presser foot 71, this presser foot operates the maximum pressure applicable to the grip of a fabric feeding mechanism on the fabric.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To make the production and use of a device easy and simple by respectively connecting two terminals of control cirucit for a sewing machine to a closing member for paired reference points and a contact. CONSTITUTION: With the forward movement of cloth T, an elastically energized pinion 16 of cloth is rotated, a pinion 17 to be engaged to a barrel 19 is displaced in the manner of angle in the direction of a contact 34 related with a drum 29 as a pin 23, and when its inner terminal is fixed on a fixed rod 15, a spiral spring 20 is compressed. When the pin 23 is brought into contact with the contact member 34, a pulse is generated by a pulse generator 46 and transmitted to an AND logic gate 45. When this pulse is generated before the end of sewing, a position detector 43 for a needlebar communicates with a counter 42 at the moment when the sewing wok under execution is finished. The sewing machine moves the cloth T back and forms the straight stitches parallel to the zigzag stitches of a phase 1. As long as the pinion 16 is not detached from the cloth, the pinion is inverted, the pin 23 moves toward a contact 28 and the spring 20 is unfastened. This second phase meets the pin 23 and the contact 28 to end the sewing.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To simplify the operation of thread insertion by forming a guide means from continuous channels and extending the channel to at least one part of upper surface and one part of side face of an upper arm proximate to a needlebar on both the sides of an aperture opened on the channel. CONSTITUTION: This machine has a casing having a lower seam 3, upper arm 4 and column 2 connecting both the arms, a needlebar 5 is slidingly mounted to the upper arm 4, means 26, 27, 28 and 29 are provided for synchronously and alternately driving the needle bar 5 and a thread-draw lever 23, and a means is provided for guiding a thread 12 between a bobbin 14 and a needle 5a supported by the needlebar 5 so as to form a passage (f) of the thread. In this case, the guide means is formed from continuous channels 12 and 13 and this channel is extended to at least one part of upper surface and one part of side face of the upper arm 4 proximate to the needlebar 5 on both the side of an aperture 22 opened on this channel.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To completely eliminate play between a slideway and a roll by carrying two rollers cooperated with an elastic means by a pivot pin and making these rollers contact with two tracks. CONSTITUTION: A pin 12 carries two head conical rollers 13 and 14 and these rollers 13 and 14 are engaged to a slideway 20 disposed on a movable member 15 attached to a needle receiving stand 16, which is fixed on a frame B for carrying a feed mechanism, so as to be freely rotated. This movable member 15 carries a gear 17, this gear 17 is brought into contact with a pinion 18 fixed so as to be cooperated with the shaft of a stepping motor 19, and a slideway 20 is disposed around the central point of track of the pin 12. This slideway 20 is formed from two tracks of concentric arcs 20a and 20b generated by one cone rolling on the track of the pin 12. A spring 21 disposed between the frame B and a lever 10 pushes this lever, and as a result, the pin 12 and the rollers 13 and 14 carried by this pin are axially pressed toward the movable member 15.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To apply stable zig-zag motion to a needlebar by keeping the arrangement of respective bearings in the state in contact with the contact surface thereof to the seat surface of a correspondent supporting member by at least one repulsive member for applying a pressure toward the supporting member. CONSTITUTION: Two bearings 8 and 9 of a sewing machine are held at prescribed positions by the thrust applied to the respective bearings by a repulsive leaf spring 12 generally having U shape. Stitch holes 12a and 12b are provided at the free end of the leaf spring 12 and with these stitch holes 12a and 12b, the leaf spring is brought into contact with the respective bearings 8 and 9. This leaf spring 12 has a flap part 12c at its intermediate portion and this is effective for improving the elastic characteristics of the leaf spring. When a needlebar 7 is inserted to the bearings 8 and 9, the bearings are immediately and automatically centered on an assembly and the outer surface of the bearings is engaged to the respective seat surfaces of arms 5 and 6 of a cradle. When the leaf spring 12 applies thrust onto the two bearings, the entire assembly takes the proper position thereof to the cradle.
