Abstract:
A laminated body of the present invention provides a base material having superior general-purpose properties for a building base material constituting general buildings, houses, windows for vehicles, or interior and exterior walls, said laminated body constituting various types of laminated bodies having a light transmitting or glare protecting base material and a layer containing a glittering pigment in which the surface of mica particles on the base material is coated with titanium oxide containing lower grade titanium oxide so that a laminated body can be provided for materializing mainly a flip-flop effect (an effect in which a color changes delicately according to an angle at which it is viewed) or a decorative effect by means of a mirror provided with a color.
Abstract:
A stable oil-in-water emulsion composition containing a nonsteroidal antiphlogistic analgesic, wherein the emulsifier comprises a combination of a hydrophilic surfactant with a monoalkyl glyceryl ether, particularly one containing a C12 to C22 alkyl group. The stability of the composition is further enhanced by the presence of HSO3-, SO3-- or S2O5-- ions when the medecine is in salt form.
Abstract:
Provided is a cosmetic composition which includes at least one superabsorbent polymer; at least one water soluble emollient; and at least one thickener.
Abstract:
An object of the present invention is to provide an agent for sedating the response of skin to external stimulation. The aforementioned object was achieved by finding a component that promotes CD39 gene expression in Langerhans cells. More specifically, the present invention is based on the finding that the combination of carboxymethyl-beta glucan or a salt thereof, polyoxyethylene (POE)/polyoxypropylene (POP) random copolymer dimethyl ether and rosewater promotes CD39 gene expression.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method of evaluating cellulite using fibulin-3 and/or sarcoglycan gamma as an indicator in a harvested skin sample, and a method of evaluating a drug for improving, preventing or treating cellulite using fibulin-3 and/or sarcoglycan gamma as an indicator in cultured cells.
Abstract:
Cosmetics, particularly substantially surfactant-free ones, wherein the contained difficulty water-soluble components have been solubilized by the addition of an alkyl-modified carboxyvinyl polymer and a hydroxyalkylated cyclodextrin.
Abstract:
Indole derivatives of general formulae (I) and (II); and rooting inducers comprising these derivatives as the active ingredient. In said formulae (I) and (II), R is nil or C1-C4 alkylene.
Abstract:
A flower initiation inducer for plants comprising an unsaturated fatty acid having an oxo group and a hydroxy or hydroperoxy group or one having an oxo group, a hydroxy group and a hydroperoxy group; a process for the preparation of said flower initiation inducer; and a method for inducing flower initiation with said flower initiation inducer.
Abstract:
Cosmetics having a UV shielding effect in a broad range from UV-B to UV-A and capable of preventing erythema and melanosis due to sunburn. Cosmetics containing conventional particulates titanium dioxide cannot exhibit a sufficient UV prevention effect and involve the problems that they are uncomfortable to the touch and are apt to give a dusty finish. The cosmetics of the invention contain spindle-shaped fine titanium dioxide particles having a mean minor axis of 0.03 to 0.06 mu m, a mean major axis of 0.08 to 0.12 mu m and an aspect ratio (major axis/minor axis) of 2 to 4 alone or together with metal oxides having a mean particle diameter of at least 0.2 mu m.
Abstract:
A hair-care composition containing as the active ingredient at least one member selected from among bis-tetrahydrofuran analogs and esters thereof originating in a plant of the family Annonaceae; the use of the bis-tetrahydrofuran compounds, in particular, a method of preventing depilation or promoting hair growth by administering the compounds to the scalp; and the use of the above compounds in the preparation of the hair-care composition.
