A ventilation and air conditioning apparatus for a vehicle includes: a ventilator that sucks air from outside the vehicle; an air conditioner that conditions air inside the vehicle; a duct for fresh outside air that connects the ventilator with the air conditioner so as to supply the air that the ventilator has sucked from outside the vehicle to the air conditioner; and a duct for conditioned air that supplies the conditioned air blown out from the air conditioner to inside the vehicle. The duct for fresh outside air is branched so as to be connected to the duct for conditioned air. With this configuration, even if the operation of the air conditioner is stopped due to, e.g., a leakage of a flammable refrigerant, an amount of ventilation can be secured in the vehicle.

Provided is a computer system for identifying all physical resources which have been allocated to logical units before to be subject to shredding and for performing shredding on the identified physical resources. All the physical resources related to the physical resources specified by a user to be subject to data erasing are selected using usage history for the storage system. Moreover, a shredding task for the selected physical resources is generated according to configuration information of the storage system and shredding is performed based on the generated task. Consequently, the data is completely erased.

The present invention provides a heat exchanger, an air conditioning apparatus, and a method for manufacturing the heat exchanger capable of reducing the scattering of condensate water from curved portions to the downstream side in the direction of airflow. An indoor heat exchanger includes lower fins and upper fins. The upper fins are inclined in the direction of the airflow at an angle formed between the longitudinal axis of the upper fins and the vertical direction, the range of the angle being equal to or greater than the range of an angle formed between the longitudinal axis of the lower fins and the vertical direction, and the upper fins are disposed adjacent to top ends of the lower fins. The upper fins have curved portions that are curved in proximity to the portions bordering the top ends of the lower fins on the downstream side in the airflow direction F.

In an internal combustion engine, an exhaust passage is provided with a NOx storing and decomposing catalyst (20). When burning fuel under a lean air-fuel ratio, the nitrogen monoxide is adsorbed by the NOx storing and decomposing catalyst (20) and disassociated. At this time, the disassociated oxygen is held in the form of oxygen ions O− on the NOx storing and decomposing catalyst (20). By making the air-fuel ratio rich and purging part of these oxygen ions O−, the remaining oxygen ions O− are also purged. Due to this, the NOx purification performance of the NOx storing and decomposing catalyst (20) is restored.

The mounting board is constituted from a PC (printed circuit) board and the lead-attached electrical element. Two conductive lands are provided on a surface of the PC board. The lead-attached electrical element has been inserted into an aperture in the PC board, and bent portions of the leads attached to the electrical element are bonded to the conductive lands so that the electrical element is suspended in the aperture by the leads.

A catalyst able to overcome defects of an absorption reduction-type NOx purifying catalyst, such as poor NOx purifying capability at low temperatures and low SOx desorbing property, is provided.The catalyst is an absorption reduction-type NOx purifying catalyst where NOx absorbent particles and support particles having supported thereon a catalyst component are mixed. Preferably, acidic support particles are added to the support particle, the NOx absorbent particles are a metal oxide having a base point, and the metal oxide is rare earth-added zirconia. In conventional catalysts, the NOx absorbent such as alkali metal having strong basicity exposes the catalyst component present together on the same support to the basic condition to decrease the catalytic performance. However, in the present invention, the NOx absorbent and the support are separate particles, whereby the catalyst component can exert its original catalytic performance and, as a result, the NOx purifying capability at low temperatures and the SOx desorbing property are improved.
