Abstract: The present invention relates to a composition for alleviating atopic dermatitis, comprising extracts from a pretreated tea-tree extract and chamaecyparis obtusa essential oil as effective ingredients. More specifically, the present invention provides a pharmaceutical composition and a cosmetic material composition for alleviating atopic dermatitis comprises, as effective ingredients, one selected from a group consisting of a steam-processed tee tree extract, a blasted tee tree extract, and a mixture of a steam-processed extract and a blasted tee tree extracts, and a chamaecyparis obtusa essential oil. The steam-processed extract, the blasted tee tree extract or the chamaecyparis obtusa essential oil shows an excellent effect on atopic dermatitis through verification of polyphenol content, antioxidant activity, and antihistaminic effects.
