Abstract: PURPOSE: Provided are the growth hormone of Verasper variegatus and its coding gene. The growth hormone gene is useful for manufacturing transformed fishes capable of growing fast or oral administration of massively manufactured growth hormone by genetic recombination method into fishes. CONSTITUTION: A gene encoding the growth hormone of Verasper variegatus is characterized by containing the nucleotide sequence set forth in SEQ ID NO:7 and the amino acid sequence set forth in SEQ ID NO:8. A plasmid vector psfGH is characterized by containing the above gene. A transformed E.coli DH5alpha/psfGH(KCTC 0417BP) is obtained by transformation with the above plasmid vector. The growth hormone protein of Verasper variegatus is massively manufactured by culturing the transformant that is transformed with the expression vector containing the growth hormone gene.
