Abstract: PURPOSE: A display apparatus and a method for controlling the same are provided to block an image opposite to an opened shutter by regulating a light emitting state without the change of a data signal. CONSTITUTION: An organic electroluminescent panel(10) scans each frame of a left-eye image and a right-eye image. The organic electroluminescent panel includes a light emitting layer based on an organic material. A signal transmitting part(20) outputs a controlling signal to external shutter glasses(200). A controlling part(30) controls the signal transmitting part. The opening states of a left-eye shutter and a right-eye shutter are opposite by the controlling part. The controlling part controls the light emission of the organic electroluminescent panel.

Abstract: A liquid crystal display and a control method thereof are provided to solve the problem of image duplication or afterimage. A liquid crystal display comprises a liquid crystal shutter glass(30), a liquid crystal panel(10), a glass control unit(40), a light source(50), and a light source driving unit(60). The liquid crystal panel reciprocally indicates the right image at the predetermined scan period. The glasses controller outputs the control signal in order to open or close right and left side of the liquid crystal shutter glasses for synchronizing with the scan period. The light source driving unit supplies the driving power to the light source in order to transmit light to the liquid crystal panel. By the light source driving unit, the light is transmitted after the left image, and the right image along the scan direction.
