Abstract: 본 발명은 통신시스템에서 E911 긴급서비스시 GPS 지원 측위를 제공하기 위한 장치 및 방법에 관한 것으로, 긴급서비스시 GPS 지원 측위(Assisted Global Positioning System: AGPS)를 제공하기 위한 통신시스템에 있어서, 긴급서비스를 위한 단말 위치정보를 요청하는 E911 클라이언트와, 상기 단말 위치정보 요청에 대해 AAA 인증서버로부터 해당 단말의 액세스정보를 제공받아, 상기 해당 단말에 긴급서비스 위치요청 메시지를 전송하는 통합 위치서버와, 상기 위치요청 메시지를 제 1 통신모뎀을 통해 수신하고 제 2 통신모뎀을 활성화하여 AGPS 동작을 수행하여 단말 위치를 확보하는 듀얼모드 단말을 포함하여, 통신모드에 상관없이 E911 긴급서비스시 AGPS를 제공할 수 있는 이점이 있다.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A method and a device for controlling a calculation complexity of encoding a video are provided to determine whether a current frame in encoding a video is an image which agree with a skip mode and control a calculation complexity by one among a plurality of complexity control methods, thereby effectively controlling the complexity about various images. CONSTITUTION: A complexity control encoding mode decider(301) determines whether a current frame is a skip mode-friendly frame. According to determination result, the determination unit selectively operates a first complexity controller and a second complexity controller which is inside the unit. A video encoder(310) selects one macro block mode by comparison of predetermined cost about a outputted candidate macro block mode. The video encoding unit encodes a macro block of a current input frame.

Abstract: An apparatus for the entry into an idle mode in a broadband wireless access system and a method therefor are provided to reduce the power consumption of a terminal by omitting the initial call connection procedure which will be performed as the signaling for the entry into the idle mode fails, in case the terminal is located within a shadow area. After transmitting an idle mode request message(DREG-REQ) to a base station(220), a terminal(200) operates the first timer(a, b). If the terminal does not receive an idle mode permission message(REG-CMD) until the first timer expires, it checks whether the number of times the DREG-REQ is re-transmitted exceeds the preset idle mode request message re-transmission allowable frequency(DREG Request Retry Count)(c, d). If the number of times the DREG-REQ is re-transmitted exceeds the DREG Request Retry Count, a modem(205) increases the number of times the terminal fails to enter the idle mode(Idle Entry Fail Count) by 1(e, f). If the Idle Entry Fail Count is more than a preset N value, a host(210) enters a power saving mode for turning off the modem(g, h).

Abstract: A semiconductor device and a fabricating method thereof are provided to prevent metal material of a contact plug from remaining on a sidewall of a contact hole by simultaneously etching the contact plug and a barrier metal layer. A capping plug(157) is formed to cover the recessed barrier metal layer and the recessed contact plug. A capacitor(170) is formed on the capping plug.
