Abstract: PURPOSE: An engineered stone and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to increase whiteness and reduce transmission of the engineered stone by adding bone ash, sodalite, and bone chine to engineered stone, coating with sodium silicate, and heat treating thereof. CONSTITUTION: A manufacturing method of an engineered stone comprises the following steps: preparing raw materials including SiO2 powder, SiO2 sand, or SiO2 chip; and heat treating the raw material at 900-1300 deg. Celsius in order to reduce light-transmission rate of SiO2 powder, SiO2 sand, or SiO2 chip and increase whiteness. The raw material additionally includes 0.1-15 weight% of material bone ash based on 100 weight% of the raw materials. The raw materials additionally includes 0.1-15 weight% of sodalite based on 100 weight% of the raw materials. The raw materials additionally includes 0.1-15 weight% of bone china based on 100 weight% of the raw materials. The manufacturing method of the engineered stone additionally includes a step of coating the raw materials with sodium silicate before heat treatment.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A marble chip is provided to obtain a uniform pattern regardless of a setting time and a molding time, to have same sanding property and Moh's hardness as a base material, and to secure excellent adhesive force with the base material. CONSTITUTION: A method for manufacturing a marble chip(1A) comprises the following steps: manufacturing a resin composition by mixing a reactive monomer with a binder including a halogenated ethoxylated di(meth)acrylate oligomer; manufacturing a hardened material by hardening the resin composition; and smashing the hardened material. The resin composition includes halogenated ethoxylated di(meth)acrylate oligome and reactive monomer 10-50 parts by weight.
