    Abstract: The bis silyl alkane of formula (III) is prepared by the hydrogen-siliconation reaction of a bis silyl alkane of formula (I), and an organic compound or a cyclohexene of formula (II) having carbon and carbon double bond in the presence of a catalyst i.e. chloroplatinic acid, silica/platinum, alumina/platinum, carbon/platinum, platinum black, rhodium black, ruthenium black, palladium black, nickel, tributyl amine or 3-chloroperoxy benzoic acid. In the formulas, n is 1˜4; R1 is H, X is Cl, alkoxy; R3 is phenyl, -CH2Cl, -CF3, -CN, -CH2CN, -CH=CH2 or cyclohexenyl.

    Abstract: Tris silyl methane of formula (III) is prepared by reacting a silane cpd. of formula (I) contg. dichloromethyl with hydrogen chloride or the mixt. of alkyl chloride of formula (II) which generates HCl to the reaction temp., in the presence of copper or copper cpd. as catalyst of 1-20 wt.% w.r.t. the reactant, pref. under 1-5 atms.. In the formulas, R1,R2 and R3 each are CH3 or Cl; R is H, C1-4 alkyl or CH2CH2Cl; R4 and R5 are SiHCl2; or R4 is SiHCl2 and R5 is SiCl3; or R4 and R5 are SiCl3.
