Abstract:
PURPOSE: A coefficient of elasticity method of measurement of a multi-layered thin film which measures the modulus of elasticity is provided to measure the apparent modulus of elasticity of the multi-layered thin film using the wrinkle pitch of a single layered thin film layer and multilayer foil film layer. CONSTITUTION: Compressive stress is added to the multi-layered thin film sample in which a multi-layered thin film(1) is formed on a substrate. Wrinkle is formed on the multi-layered thin film surface of the multi-layered thin film sample. A wrinkle pitch(3) formed on the multi-layered thin film surface, and the through-thickness of the multi-layered thin film and coefficient of elasticity of substrate are measured. The apparent modulus of elasticity of the multi-layered thin film is obtained using a measured value.
Abstract:
A coil spring having two-way shape memory effect, a manufacturing method thereof, and an adiabatic product using the same are provided to manufacture the coil spring in a simple and cheap method by forming precipitation aligned to a specific direction in the coil spring with solution heat treating and tempering. A coil spring having two-way shape memory effect is made of shape memory alloy in a coil shape, and includes precipitation aligned to a specific direction. The shape memory alloy consists of 50.2-52.0 at% of Ni and the remainder of Ti and an inevitable impurity. The precipitation is Ni4Ti3. A manufacturing method of the coil spring comprises the steps of: forming a coil spring by winding a wire made of the shape memory alloy to contact each other closely; solution heat treating the coil spring at 600-1200°C and quenching; and forming the precipitation aligned to a specific direction by tempering the coil spring at 350-600°C while extended.

A structure of a low noise saw and a low noise diamond saw are provided to achieve improved durability of the saw by eliminating the necessity of forming holes in a metal plate. A structure of a low noise saw includes a shank(12) made with a metal plate, and a damper(20) having a part which is spot-welded to one or both of the upper and lower surfaces of the shank. The shank has an outer circumferential surface with teeth of saw. One or both of the upper and lower surface of the shank have grooves(50,50') with thicknesses for accommodating the damper.

PURPOSE: A preparation method of titanium/iron alloy/titanium clad sheets is provided to be economical at the low temperature and to prevent the physical property of titanium from deteriorating in preparing the titanium/iron alloy clad material. CONSTITUTION: The preparation method of titanium/iron alloy/titanium clad sheets comprises the steps of: inserting aluminum or aluminum alloy sheets between iron alloy sheets and titanium sheets and laminating; bonding by hot rolling the laminated sheets under the air without an atmospheric gas at 200 to 450 deg.C; and diffusion treating the inserted aluminum of the bonded sheets at 250 to 450 deg.C. The titanium/iron alloy/titanium clad sheets comprise aluminum or aluminum alloy as an intermediate material between titanium and iron alloy.

PURPOSE: A pipe connecting method is provided to securely connect pipe to each other even if a tolerance of the pipes is enlarged by connecting the pipes using a shape memory alloy. CONSTITUTION: A flange(2) made of a shape memory alloy is disposed around a pipe(4). Then, a diameter of the pipe(4) is enlarged. If an outer diameter of the pipe(4) is larger than an inner diameter of the flange(2), the flange(2) is easily disposed around the pipe(4). In this state, the diameter of the pipe(4) is enlarged. At first, only the diameter of the pipe(4) is enlarged. However, when the pipe(4) being enlarged makes contact with the flange(2), the flange(2) also is enlarged together with the pipe(4). At this time, heat is applied to the flange(2) and the pipe(4), so that the pipe(4) is bonded to the flange(2).

PURPOSE: Provided is a multilayered metal board with superior vibration decrement capacity which adheres a thin auxiliary board to a main board of the metal by welding so that it shows excellence in vibration decrement capacity. CONSTITUTION: In the multilayered metal board with superior vibration decrement capacity, it is characterized by adhering a main metal board to an auxiliary board(2) by welding. The production process of the multilayered metal board with superior vibration decrement capacity comprises the steps of: (i) processing the main metal board to have certain curvature according to its use; and (ii) adhering the auxiliary board to the main metal board.

PURPOSE: A method for joining a spectacles' frame by using a shape memory effect is provided to join simply a temple or a bridge to a lens rim of the spectacles' frame by inserting therebetween a shape memory alloy such as NiTi. CONSTITUTION: A method for joining a spectacles' frame includes the steps of preparing a bridge(3) or a temple(5) made of a shape memory alloy, reducing a diameter of the bridge(3) or the temple(5) to by fabricating below a phase transformation temperature so as to keep in memory a diameter of the bridge(3) or the temple(5), joining the fabricated bridge(3) or the temple(5) into a pipe having a diameter being larger or equal to that of the fabricated bridge(3) or the temple(5) and welding the pipe to a lens rim(1) of the spectacles' frame.
