    Abstract: PURPOSE: A coefficient of elasticity method of measurement of a multi-layered thin film which measures the modulus of elasticity is provided to measure the apparent modulus of elasticity of the multi-layered thin film using the wrinkle pitch of a single layered thin film layer and multilayer foil film layer. CONSTITUTION: Compressive stress is added to the multi-layered thin film sample in which a multi-layered thin film(1) is formed on a substrate. Wrinkle is formed on the multi-layered thin film surface of the multi-layered thin film sample. A wrinkle pitch(3) formed on the multi-layered thin film surface, and the through-thickness of the multi-layered thin film and coefficient of elasticity of substrate are measured. The apparent modulus of elasticity of the multi-layered thin film is obtained using a measured value.

    Abstract: A coil spring having two-way shape memory effect, a manufacturing method thereof, and an adiabatic product using the same are provided to manufacture the coil spring in a simple and cheap method by forming precipitation aligned to a specific direction in the coil spring with solution heat treating and tempering. A coil spring having two-way shape memory effect is made of shape memory alloy in a coil shape, and includes precipitation aligned to a specific direction. The shape memory alloy consists of 50.2-52.0 at% of Ni and the remainder of Ti and an inevitable impurity. The precipitation is Ni4Ti3. A manufacturing method of the coil spring comprises the steps of: forming a coil spring by winding a wire made of the shape memory alloy to contact each other closely; solution heat treating the coil spring at 600-1200°C and quenching; and forming the precipitation aligned to a specific direction by tempering the coil spring at 350-600°C while extended.

CONSTITUTION: A flange(2) made of a shape memory alloy is disposed around a pipe(4). Then, a diameter of the pipe(4) is enlarged. If an outer diameter of the pipe(4) is larger than an inner diameter of the flange(2), the flange(2) is easily disposed around the pipe(4). In this state, the diameter of the pipe(4) is enlarged. At first, only the diameter of the pipe(4) is enlarged. However, when the pipe(4) being enlarged makes contact with the flange(2), the flange(2) also is enlarged together with the pipe(4). At this time, heat is applied to the flange(2) and the pipe(4), so that the pipe(4) is bonded to the flange(2).
