Abstract: PURPOSE: A device for opening and closing a sunroof of a vehicle is provided to improve indoor aesthetic view as removing stepped difference of a rail consisted of a two-stage panel when opening and closing a sunroof. CONSTITUTION: A two-stage glazing material to be able to open and close formed by a front glazing material(16) and a rear glazing material(18) in opening(14) of a roof panel(12) of a vehicle is installed. When the sunroof opens, the front glazing material rises on the tilt as pushing backward according a rail course and the opening of the roof panel opens. The bedded position of the front glazing material becomes in the lower side of the rear glazing material. When the sunroof closes, the front glazing material and the rear glazing material closes simultaneously as hanging a plate spring(26) of the rear glazing material to a hook(28) of the front glazing material. The glazing material usually closes the opening. If rainwater or dust comes in gap of the opening, a contact partial(24) of a weather strip, installed in a frame of the opening, contacts upper part of the glazing material and incoming of rainwater and dust is prevented. When the two-stage sunroof opens, appearance is improved as locating the two-stage sunroof on same surfaces and not occurring stepped difference.
