CONSTITUTION: A synchronizer of a manual transmission is composed of a sleeve(6) engaged with a synchronizer hub, a clutch gear engaged with the sleeve, and a synchronizer ring. The sleeve has a first gear tooth chamfer(26) contacting to the synchronizer ring in moving the sleeve, and a second gear tooth chamfer(30) contacting to the clutch gear in synchronizing. The width of the first chamfer is more than the width of the second chamfer, and the length of the first chamfer is shorter than the length of the second chamfer. Shift quality is improved by preventing nibble with double structure of the chamfer.
