    Abstract: PURPOSE:To extract only the blood serum from a blood sampling tube containing blood after centrifugal separation by means of a single sampling needle. CONSTITUTION:A sampling needle 26 is set at the center of a blood sampling tube coupler 22 while piercing a rubber member 54 disposed at the center of a sealing plug 50. Pressure is increased and decreased repeatedly to a sampling container 14 thus sucking blood serum 18 therein through the sampling needle 22. A cleaning cap is employed for cleaning the blood sampling coupler 22.

Characteristic transmitted light quantity levels due to a mark 100 from outputs (a), (b) from both memories are respectively detected by a tip end detector 84, the transmitted light level at the same position longitudinal of the tip 36 is compared therewith on the basis of the mark 100, and the end position of the discharge opening of the tip 36 containing the sample 12 is detected.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide a method for detecting a droplet wherein whether or not a droplet generated at the tip of a nozzle at dispensing time exists, and it dispenser. CONSTITUTION:A dispenser forms a light beam 20 by a near infrared light emitting diode 14, a lens 16 for converting the emitted near infrared light into a parallel light beam, and a cylindrical lens 18 for narrowing the parallel beam into a size in an axial direction of a chip 36, wherein the light beam 20 has an axis of the chip 36 and a beam width larger than a vertical width. Therefore if a droplet is generated from the tip of the chip 36, the droplet and the beam 20 cross each other. If a droplet detection circuit 26 receives a transmitted light amount at the time of movement of the chip 36 via an optical filter 22 at a light receiving part and a light detector 24 and senses a rapid change in the transmitted light amount level, it outputs a signal indicating 'generation of droplets' to a monitor 28 and issues a warning to a user by displaying a message indicating the generation of droplets.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide the disposable tip for dispensing blood into another container with good accuracy in the state of hermetically closing a vacuum blood collecting tube in blood inspection. CONSTITUTION:This disposable tip 16 has >=1 vent paths 18 provided integrally with its side wall. These vent paths 18 have upper vent ports 19a provided at the top end of the disposable tip 16 fitting to a nozzle base and lower vent ports 19b provided in any part from the top end of the disposable tip 16 to a sample and suction port. The outdoor air is infiltrated into the vacuum blood collecting tube 28 through the vent paths 18 until the same pressure as the atm. pressure is attained simultaneously when the disposable tip 16 is inserted into the vacuum blood collecting tube 28 by provision of these vent paths 18. As a result, the sample is dispensed with the good accuracy by using a pump.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To preclude an error dispensation quantity due to air bubble generation and to enable stable inspection by detecting transmitted light when light emitted by a light emitting body is emitted in a beam shape and made to cross a container containing a sample and deciding whether or not there is an air bubble. CONSTITUTION:The sample 12 is put in a chip (container) 10 which transmits near infrared light and moved by a chip moving means 36 at a constant speed as shown by an arrow. The near infrared light from an LED 14 is a beam 20 which has constant width and constant thickness so as to cross the chip 10 through optical systems 16 and 18. The beam 20 which is transmitted through the chip 10 passes through an optical fiber 22 which passes only light having wavelength in the near infrared range and reaches a photodetector 24. A differentiation circuit 26 and a signal processing circuit 28 inputs the detection signal of a detector 24 to find staircase variation in the quantity of the light transmitted through the chip 10, and the result is used to decide whether or not there is an air bubble. Consequently, when the air bubble is detected, analysis is quitted or dispensation is performed again to perform stable analysis and inspection.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform suitable weight adjustment between bucket pairs in a centrifuge. SOLUTION: A centrifuge 30 has one or plural bucket pairs. A rack 12 is inserted into each bucket 24 by a handler 20. A first rack is inserted into any one of the bucket pair, and a second rack is inserted into the other bucket 24. A third rack and other racks after it are inserted into the lighter buckets among the bucket pairs. Such rack insertion is repeated, finally when weight difference between the buckets is not within tolerance, weight is adjusted between the buckets. In this case, rack exchange is performed between the bucket pairs at first, and only when satisfactory weight adjustment is not attained, a weight 40 is used.
