Abstract: The invention relates to thermoplastic moulding materials and the use thereof in the production of films, shaped bodies and fibres, containing (A) 5-98 wt. %, in relation to the overall weight of the moulding materials, of at least one rubberlike graft co-polymer, (B) 1-90 wt. %, in relation to the overall weight of the moulded material, of at least one other copolymer, and (C) 1-70 wt. %, in relation to (A), (B), (C) and optionally (D), of one rubber-elastic block copolymer made from at least one block CA forming a hard phase and comprising polymerized units consisting of vinylaromatic monomers, in addition to an elastomer block CB/A forming a soft phase and containing a diene, and (D) 0-300 wt. %, in relation to the weight of constituents (A) (C), of a polycarbonate, (D) 0-30 wt. %, in relation to the overall weight of the moulding materials, of usual additives and auxiliary processing agents.

Los materiales de moldeo muestran un valor db*, despues de la exposicion a la atmosfera de menos de +5.0 despues de 100 horas de exposicion a la luz y la atmosfera de acuerdo a ISO 4892/2, metodo A, 65(C de temperatura de panel negro, medida de color de acuerdo a CIE-Lab de acuerdo con DIN 6174 y DIN 5033.

Abstract: A thermoplastic molding composition having little intrinsic color is produced from a graft copolymer and a thermoplastic polymer. The graft copolymer is produced from a soft elastomeric particulate graft base obtained by polymerization of a conjugated diene alone or with a small amount of a monoethylenically unsaturated monomer, upon which is grafted a vinylaromatic monomer and acrylonitrile and optionally another monoethylenically unsaturated monomer. The thermoplastic polymer is a copolymer of a vinylaromatic monomer and acrylonitrile and optionally an additional monoethylenically unsaturated monomer. The thermoplastic molding composition has a low level of intrinsic color coupled with good mechanical properties and can be processed by, for example, extrusion, injection molding, calendaring, blow molding, compression molding, or sintering.

Abstract: A method for the production of additive dispersions containing water, additive(s) (A) with a melting point (TA) below 95 deg C and additive(s) (B) with a m.pt. of 95 deg C or above involves: (1) mixing water, emulsifier and (A) at between TA and 95 deg C to form an emulsion; (2) cooling to TA or below to form a dispersion; and (3) mixing with solid, finely-divided (B). An Independent claim is also included for additive dispersions obtained by this method.

The moulding materials exhibit a db*-value, after exposure to the atmosphere, of less than +5,0 after 100 hours of exposure to light and the atmosphere according to ISO 4892/2, method A, black panel temperature 65 DEG C, colour measurement according to CIE-Lab in accordance with DIN 6174 and DIN 5033.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method for producing odorant polymers or plastics , wherein a crushed or fine particle first polymer material is mixed with the desired odorant, is allowed to swell during a predetermined period and then subjected to further treatment at a predetermined pressure and temperature. After swelling with the odorant, the first polymer material can be mixed wit h a second plastic material, wherein the first polymer material and the second plastic material can be identical or different from each. Odorant polymers c an also be obtained by using a polymer as second plastic material. Abstract: The puncture resistance of impact-modified styrene and/or alpha -Me-styrene/acrylonitrile copolymers is improved, while also imparting good antistatic properties, by use of a triblock copolymer X-Y-X (X = ethylene oxide units forming on average 2-35 wt.% of the copolymer and Y = propylene oxide units of average mol. wt. 2000-4000). There is also an Independent claim for a molding composition comprising, by wt., (A) 20-94% hard copolymer of styrene and/or alpha -Me styrene with 10-50% acrylonitrile; (B) 5-70% graft copolymer of (1) 10-90% rubber-elastic, particulate substrate of Tg below 0 deg C and (2) 10-90% copolymer as per (A) as graft; (C) 0.1-10% triblock copolymer X-Y-X as above; and (D) 0-10% conventional additives and fillers.
