Abstract: A thermoplastic moulding composition contains (A) 10-40 wt.% polycarbonate(s); (B) 5-40 wt.% graft copolymer mixture; (C) 1-60 wt.% thermoplastic copolymer of (c1) 50-80 wt.% styrene and (c2) 20-50 wt.% (meth)acrylonitrile; (D) 1-82.9 wt.% different thermoplastic copolymer of (d1) 60-90 wt.% styrene and (d2) 10-40 wt.% (meth)acrylonitrile, such that the weight fraction of (meth)acrylonitrile in (D) is less than that in (C); (E) 1-40 wt.% thermoplastic copolymer; (F) 0.1-15 wt.% carbon (C) black and/or other pigment(s); and (G) 0-30 wt.% additive(s) and/or processing aid(s). The graft copolymer mixture (B) comprises (B1) 2-98 wt.% graft copolymer of (b11) 40-80 wt.% graft substrate, (b12) 5-20 wt.% first grafted layer of vinyl-aromatic compound(s) of formula (I) and (b13) 15-40 wt.% second grafted layer and (B2) 2-98 wt.% graft copolymer of (b21) 40-80 wt.% graft substrate and (b22) 20-60 wt.% grafted layer. Grafted layers (b13) and (b22) consist of ( alpha ) 50- 95 wt.% (I) and/or methyl (meth)acrylate and ( beta ) 5-50 wt.% (meth)acrylonitrile, methyl methacrylate, maleic anhydride and/or N-(1-8C alkyl- or 6-20C aryl)-maleimide(s); and both graft substrates have a glass transition temperature (Tg) of below 10 deg C, whilst the weight average particle size of the graft copolymers is 200-700 nm for (B1) and 50-180 nm for (B2). Thermoplastic copolymer (E) comprises (e1) 50-85 wt.% alpha -methylstyrene, (e2) 15-50 wt.% acrylonitrile and (e3) 0-15 wt.% vinyl-aromatic compound of formula (II). In the formulae, R is hydrogen (H) or 1-6C alkyl; R is a 1-6C alkyl; and n = 0, 1, 2 or 3.

Abstract: The thermoplastic moulding compositions comprise from 20 to 80% by weight of a polycarbonate A; from 10 to 60% by weight of a thermoplastic copolymer B comprising, in each case based on B, from 70 to 90% by weight of styrene, alpha -methylstyrene or a ring-alkylated styrene, and from 10 to 30% by weight of (meth)acrylonitrile; from 5 to 30% by weight of a graft copolymer C comprising, in each case based on C, from 20 to 60% by weight of a polybutadiene rubber c1 from 80 to 40% by weight of a shell c2 grafted thereto and comprising, in each case based on c2, either from 70 to 90% by weight of styrene c21 and from 10 to 30% by weight of (meth)acrylonitrile c22, or of a shell c2 comprising from 15 to 40% by weight of styrene c23, from 85 to 60% by weight of methyl methacrylate c24 and up to 3% by weight of glycidyl methacrylate c25; from 5 to 30% by weight of a graft copolymer D comprising, in each case based on D, from 20 to 60% by weight of a crosslinked acrylate rubber d1, from 80 to 40% by weight of a shell d2 grafted thereto and comprising, in each case based on d2, from 70 to 90% by weight of styrene d21 and from 10 to 30% by weight of (meth)acrylonitrile d22, with the proviso that the graft copolymer C has a mean particle diameter of from 0.2 to 0.5 mu m and the graft copolymer D has a mean particle diameter of from 0.4 to 0.7 mu m, in each case determined as the d50 value of the cumulative weight distribution.

Abstract: Thermoplastic moulding compositions essentially containing components (A) and (B) and containing, based on the total weight of (A) and (B), A) from 5 to 95% by weight of at least one resin (A) obtained by reacting A1) from 90 to 99.9% by weight, based on (A), of a graft copolymer (A1) built up from A11) from 3 to 50% by weight, based on (A1), of a butadiene or acrylate rubber, A12) from 40 to 85% by weight, based on (A1), of at least one vinyl aromatic polymer, A13) from 15 to 45% by weight, based on (A1), of at least one nitrile group-containing, olefinically unsaturated monomer and A14) from 0 to 30% by weight, based on (A1), of at least one further graft-active monomer, where the percent by weight of (A11) to (A14) add up to 100% by weight, and A2) from 0.1 to 10% by weight, based on (A), of at least one alpha ,ss-unsaturated dicarbonyl compound, where the graft copolymer (A1) is reacted with the alpha ,ss-unsaturated dicarbonyl compound (A2) in the melt at a temperature of from 150 to 280@C, and B) from 5 to 95% by weight of at least one polyamide (B). The moulding compositions can be prepared by mixing the components in conventional mixing equipment, preferably extruders, at a temperature in the range from 140 to 320@C and are preferably used for the production of mouldings.
