Abstract:
Mixtures of: (A) an aqueous condensation product comprising (a) 1 mol melamine and (b) 3 to 11 mol formaldehyde, and (B) a total urea quantity of 0.8 to 13 mol, in which up to 25 % of this total quantity may be contained as component (c) in the resin (A). These mixtures are suitable as adhesive resins.
Abstract:
The invention concerns a process for preparing aqueous aminoplastic resins which are suitable as binders for producing derived timber products. The process is characterized in that: a) 1 mole melamine; b) a concentrated aqueous solution of 0.5 to 5 moles urea and 3 to 6 moles formaldehyde per mole of urea, in which urea and formaldehyde can also be present in the form of their reaction products, c) 0.01 to 0.5 moles phenol or a phenol derivative which can be polycondensed, d) 0 to 9 moles formaldehyde, and e) 0 to 1 mole of a further compound which can be polycondensed are reacted with one another at 50 to 100 °C and a pH of 7.5 to 10.0 until the solution attains a viscosity of 10 to 1500 mPa.s, after which this solution is left to cool, and f) is mixed with 0.55 to 0.75 moles urea per mole of the total amount of urea used as components (b) and (f).
Abstract:
The invention concerns binders containing: A) an aminotriazine derivative in which the triazine primary amino groups are methylolated on average with at least one mol of formaldehyde per mole of primary amino groups and these methylol groups are etherified on average with at least 0.5 mole primary alcohol per mole of methylol group, and the primary alcohols are a mixture containing: a) 0.5 to 99.5 mol % of a C1-C4 alkanol and b) 99.5 to 0.5 mol % of an alcohol of the formula (I) R?1-O-[R2-O]¿n-R3-OH, in which R1 stands for a C¿1?-C24 alkyl group or a C6-C12 aryl group which may optionally be substituted by one to three C1-C8 alkyl groups, and R?2 and R3¿, independently of each other, stand for a C¿2?-C8 alkylene group, and n means an integer from 1 to 100, or a mixture of higher-boiling alcohols having a boiling point of more than 120 °C at 1 bar, which contains at least 10 mol %, relative to the higher-boiling alcohols, of alcohols of formula I; and B) a radical polymer, which can be crosslinked with the aminotriazine derivative, a polycondensate or polymer additive.
Abstract:
The invention concerns the use of polymerizates containing, as the major monomer component, at least 5 % by wt. of N-(alkoxy-polyalkoxymethyl)carboxylic acid amides of monoethylenically unsaturated C3-C8 carboxylic acids as additives to low-phosphate and phosphate-free washing and cleaning agents in amounts which increase the primary and secondary washing capability of the agent, plus agents containing these polymerizates.
