Abstract: La presente invención se refiere a composiciones activas como herbicidas, que comprenden 3-[5-(difluorometoxi)-1-metil-3-(triflu orometil)pirazol-4-ilmetilsulfonil]-4,5-dihidro-5,5-dimetil-1,2-o xazol [nombre común: piroxasulfona] y por lo menos un herbicida B y por lo menos un compuesto herbicida B que está seleccionado de entre inhibidores de la síntesis de los ácidos grasos de cadena muy larga (VLCFA). La invención además se refiere al uso de una composición tal como se la define en la presente, para controlar vegetación indeseable, en particular en cultivos. Cuando las composiciones de la invención se usan para ese fin, el herbicida A y el herbicida B, que es por lo menos uno, pueden aplicarse simultánea o sucesivamente, allí donde la vegetación indeseable puede presentarse.
