Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new compound with characteristics improved in, especially, herbicidal action.SOLUTION: What are provided are a substituted 2-benzoylcyclohexane-1,3-dione represented by formula I [wherein Het is a 3-6-membered partially saturated or fully saturated heterocyclyl group having a heteroatom selected from among nitrogen, oxygen and sulfur; and Q, R, and X are corresponding different substituents], an agriculturally useful salt thereof, a method for producing a compound of formula I, an intermediate therefor, compositions containing them; a compound of formula I; and a method for using compositions containing them for noxious plant control.
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intermediate of an isoxazolin-3-ylacyl benzene useful as an agricultural chemical, and a new method for producing the intermediate. SOLUTION: A benzaldoxime derivative represented by formula III (wherein R 1 is a 1-6C alkyl group) can be obtained by reacting a corresponding methylbenzene derivative with an organic nitrite in an aprotic polar solvent in the presence of a base at lower temperature than -20°C. Abstract:
The present invention refers to a method for controlling undesired vegetation at a plant cultivation site, the method comprising the steps of providing, at said site, a plant that comprises at least one nucleic acid comprising a nucleotide sequence encoding a wild-type hydroxyphenyl pyruvate dioxygenase or a mutated hydroxyphenyl pyruvate dioxygenase (mut-HPPD) which is resistant or tolerant to a HPPD-inhibiting herbicide and/or a nucleotide sequence encoding a wild-type homogentisate solanesyl transferase or a mutated homogentisate solanesyl transferase (mut-HST) which is resistant or tolerant to a HPPD-inhibiting herbicide, applying to said site an effective amount of said herbicide. The invention further refers to plants comprising mut-HPPD, and methods of obtaining such plants.
