Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it usable without problem even in water, rain or at a snowed place or under environment in danger of explosion, to obtain sufficient side surface luminescence even with a small power, and to make it compact, and to eliminate a limitation for a set-up place. SOLUTION: This linear luminous body is constituted of a light transmission tube 1 consisting of a transparent core material and a clad material of a refractive index smaller than that of the core material, a light source 2 arranged in at least one end part in the longitudinal direction of the light transmission tube 1 in a waterproof state and a turn-on device 3 turning on the light source 2. It emits a beam made incident from the light source 2 from the longitudinal directional side surface of the light transmission tube 1. In such a case, a small power drive light emitting diode is used for the light source 2, and a waterproof means 21 is provided on the light source 2.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable an operator of a vehicle such as a car and an airplane to easily confirm a parking position or an apron position even in the night by providing a light source to emit or light the light and a line light emitting means to emit or flash the light emitted from this light source in a line shape, in a road surface or on the road surface side. SOLUTION: A parking guiding device is composed of a line light emitting means 1, a light source 2 and a driving device 3. The line light emitting means 1 is formed to emit (or flash) the light emitted from the light source 2 in a line shape, and emits the light outside through a transparent plate 4 (or a light diffusing plate such as ground glass) arranged on a road surface by being buried underground. The line light emitting means 1 may be installed so as to be partially buried in a block body 5 being a car stop. An operator of a vehicle such as a motorcycle, a car and an airplane can easily confirm a parking position or an apron position even in the night by the linear emitting light of the line light emitting means 1. It can effectively prevent a vehicle fv from colliding with a car stop and an adjacent vehicle when the vehicle enters.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a back surface light emission plate having high brightness and a uniform light emission characteristic by dispersing transparent single particulates having a refractive index different from the refractive index of a transparent resin into the transparent resin, thereby constituting a panel body. SOLUTION: The light scattering resin panel 1 comprises the panel body 2 and a reflection layer 3 disposed in the back part of the panel body 2. The panel body 2 consists of the transparent resin 2a and the transparent single particulates 2b dispersed in the transparent resin 2a. The transparent single particulate 2b are required to have the refractive index different from the refractive index of the transparent resin 2a, by which the good light scatterability is exhibited. The compounding ratio of the transparent single particulates 2b is 0.01 to 0.8 pt.wt. per 100 pts.wt. transparent resin 2a in the panel. The good light scattering effect is not obtainable if the ratio is smaller than 0.01 pt.wt. The light guide performance is lost and the uniform emission is not obtainable if the ratio is larger than 0.8 pt.wt.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form an emitter to be thin and also compact and also to obtain excellent light emission effect by sticking lens film refracting light on all the bottom face part of a grooves, or all the bottom face part, and a part or all of a peripheral wall surface and also disposing fluorescent tubes at the inside of the grooves. SOLUTION: One or more grooves 2 are provided on a rear face 1b on the opposite side to the light emission surface 1a of a light diffusing plate 1 constituted by dispersing transparent particles in transparent resin. The lens film 3 refracting the light is stuck on all the bottom face part of the groove 2, all the bottom face part and a part of the peripheral wall surface, or all the bottom face part and all the peripheral wall surface, and the fluorescent tube 4 is disposed at the inside of the groove 2. Also, a light reflecting layer 5 is desirably formed on a surface other than the light emission surface 1a of the light diffusing plate 1, namely, the rear face 1b and a side face 1c. Thus, the fluorescent tube 4 is disposed at the inside of the groove 2 of the light diffusing plate 1, so that the emitter that is formed to be thin and also compact and emits uniform light having the high luminance is obtained.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the visibility for the position of a railroad crossing and a span wire in case of bad weather or during the night by providing a light source for emitting light with such a wavelength that an operator of a vehicle is easy to find or flashing, and a light emitting means arranged on the upper side of the railroad crossing for emitting in a line or flashing light emitted from the light source. SOLUTION: An illuminating device for a railroad comprises a light source 1 and a linear light emitting means 2, wherein the light source 1 emits light with the optimum wavelength, and is stored in a light source box provided on a strut. The light emitting means 2 causes side light emission to emit light linearly, by which light supplied from the light source 1 to the inside of a core partly does not cause a total reflection phenomenon in the border with the inner peripheral surface of a clad to be transmitted intact through the inside of the clad and emitted from the outer peripheral surface to the outside efficiently. Thus, even in case of bad weather such as rainfall or fog to be dark in the environment, or during the night, the position of the railroad crossing and the position of a span wire can be surely confirmed so as to remarkably improve the visibility and the safety of a vehicle's crossing the railroad crossing.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To connect an optical transmission tube to a connected body such as a light source with good waterproofness. SOLUTION: A cylindrical projection part 11 for connection which has a screw part formed on its outer peripheral surface is projected at the connection place of the connected body, and a ring-shaped projection is formed at the outer peripheral part of a ferrule 6; and a screw part 12 which threadably engages the screw part 8 of the projection part is formed on a tip-side inner peripheral surface at one end part of the optical transmission tube 1 and a cap nut 7 is inserted. At the base-end peripheral edge part of the cap nut 7, a ring-shaped engagement part 9 which abuts against the ring-shaped projection when the cap nut 7 moves forward by a specific distance is projected and one lengthwise end part of the optical transmission tube 1 is inserted into the cylindrical projection part 11 while a gasket 13 is interposed between the tip surface of the projection part 11 and the ring-shaped projection. Then while this gasket 13 is depressed through the ring-shaped projection of the ferrule 6 with the ring-shaped engagement part 9 of the cap nut 7, the screw part of the cap nut 7 is engaged threadably with the screw part 12 of the cylindrical projection part 11.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To obtain an optical transmission tube using a fluoro-rubber, which is prevented from the deterioration of optical transmission property as much as possible, as a clad material by using the fluoro-rubber cross-linked by radical reaction. CONSTITUTION: The inner surface of the clad 1 at least in contact with a core 2 is formed out of the fluoro-rubber and in this case. the fluoro-rubber cross- linked by radical reaction is used. The cause of the deterioration of optical transmission property of the optical transmission tube using a fluoro-rubber as the clad material with the lapse of time is the elusion of a coloring component in the clad material to the core and the fluoro-rubber vulcanized by peroxide is small in coloring and is suitable for the clad material of the optical transmission tube. And in electron beam vulcanization, a reaction by-products are further small. When the fluoro-rubber cross-linked by the radical reaction is used for the clad material, the optical transmission property of the optical transmission tube is kept over a long time and the optical transmission tube small in coloring is obtained.

The light guide 3 is constituted of a long light transmissive member 4 which is formed out of a transparent material in a rigid solid state and embossed to be a bent or meandering state, and a clad 5 which is formed out of a material having a lower refractive index than the member 4 and with which the member 4 is coated.
