Abstract: An electromagnetic wave shielding light transmitting window material which is light-weight, thin, hard to crack and scatter even if cracks, has a good electromagnetic wave shielding performance and near infrared cutting performance suitably used for a PDP electromagnetic wave shielding filter or the like, and can provide a light-transmitting, clear image, and which is further excellent in heat-resisting, moisture-resisting and ultraviolet-resisting near infrared cutting performance. This window material comprises one sheet of transparent substrate (2), a anti-reflection film (8), a conductive mesh (3) and a near infrared cutting film (5) that are integrated together by adhesive intermediate films (4A, 4B) and an adhesive agent (4C). The near infrared cutting film (5) comprises a near infrared cutting layer formed on the surface of a base film, and the near infrared cutting layer contains a near infrared absorbing agent consisting of a dimonium compound and a copper antioxidant such as 1,2-benzenethiol copper complex compound.

Abstract: In an optical transmission tube (1) comprising a tubular cladding (11) and a core (12) within the cladding having a higher index of refraction than the cladding, a strip-shaped reflecting layer (13) is longitudinally extended between the cladding and the core. Light passing through the core is reflected and scattered by the reflecting layer to emerge from the tube through an area of the outer surface of the cladding opposed to the reflecting layer. The optical transmission tube is prepared by extruding the core, the reflecting layer and a tubular cladding.
