Abstract: PURPOSE: To adapt this display device to various stimulators of different matrix constitution by performing different drive control over a light emitting element according to the kind of an input signal inputted through a signal input means. CONSTITUTION: This device is provided with the signal input means 8 which can input different drive signals for different matrix constitution and a control means 9 which performs different drive control over the light emitting element 4a according to the kind of the input signal inputted through the signal input means 8. Therefore, a proper driving method can be selected for the light emitting element 4a according to a drive signal corresponding to a different matrix of, for example, 5×20, 6×24, etc. Consequently, the device can be used together with various stimulators of different matrix constitution.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To accurately tactile-sense and display image information on a character, a symbol, a figure, etc., by providing a sensitivity correcting means which corrects variance in the sensitivity of a photoelectric converting means. CONSTITUTION: The image information on the character, number, symbol, figure, etc., which are tactile-sensed and outputted is inputted from an optical reader 1, passed through a lens 2, and converted by a photoelectric converting element 3 into an electric signal, which is transmitted as an output signal to a control part 5 through an A/D converter 4. To the control part 5 consisting of a microprocessor, etc., a ROM 7 which stores a control program, a control procedure, etc., and a RAM 8 used to temporarily store information being processed are connected, and a signal stored in the RAM 8 is outputted to a sense part 6 under the command of the control part 5. Then the variance in the sensitivity of the photoelectric converting element 38 at a read part is previously detected and the electric output signal level of the photoelectric converting element 3 is corrected with a correction value corresponding to the variance. Consequently, an accurate sense display can be made.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To make conversations easily understandable and catchable in a conversation device which obtains aural outputs and printing outputs, by changing the sound output without changing the printing output by operating a specified symbol input key and a shift key in pair. CONSTITUTION:When a shift key 10 is depressed before or simultaneously with a key input of, for example, a postpositional word functioning as an auxiliary to a main word which is pronounced differently from the printing, a shift key discriminator 15 discriminates the input and sends a signal to a sound address controller 20. When a character key 11 is successively depressed, the sound address of ''wa'' ( a word of Japanese syllabory) is sent to a sound frequency synthesizer 21 and a speaker 22 outputs the voice of ''wa''. The output of the shift key discriminator 15 is also given to a pose generator 23 and a pose signal is generated, and, after a printing corresponding to the character key 11 is completed, the carriage is shifted by one character.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To easily input characters with a will transmitting device which transmits the will by converting inputted English characters to KANA (Japanese syllabary) characters and displaying these characters. CONSTITUTION:A key input section 1 of an input/output device 10 is constituted of a QUERTY keyboard (keyboard for alphabet). The KANA character strings are divided by each number of pieces corresponding to the respective English character keys of the key input section 1 and are selectively displayed in the keyboard display region of a display section 9 of a data processor (PC). The control section 7 of data processor PC converts the English characters to the KANA characters currently displayed in the position of the keyboard display region corresponding to the positions of the operated English characters and displays these characters in a formed sentence display region.
